"Extraordinary" will just about cover what IronMind offers for neck training: our Headstrap Fit For Hercules adjusts to fit heads from 20" to 26" in circumference, is very comfortable and so good-looking that you might never guess it can handle well over one ton. The unique design allows you to train the front, back and sides of your neck. Either hang the weight directly from the red webbing belt, or for added convenience, use a loading pin and carabiner. Start easy, or you can end up with some very sore muscles, and always use immaculate form—no jerky movements—and always stay well within your natural range of motion. A few minutes a day, two or three times a week, will make you feel terrific and might even end up saving your life.

The Hercules headstrap from ironmind is horrible, the sides that hang down the sides of the ears just recks my ears back and forward when I work out front neck and back. I put a beanie on but now the sides that hang pop my ear cartilage instead during the movements with horrible pressure. Lol when working out the side of the neck, the side straps start pressuring my jaw badly giving it pain everytime I drop my head to the side. Look up the video tutorial and see for yourself when the guy drops his head down, the headstrap needs to lean against his jaw. The more weight means the more pressure it gives my jaw and delicate ears and I'm talking only 10 pounds on it. And you could forget about your forehead, all the pressure on the forehead is going to make the forehead feel out of place with your skin left feeling numb. I could imagine all the wrinkles I'll get in short time after using this product multiple times. The forehead skin gets pressured abnormally big time pulling one side of your skin higher than the other side when working out the side neck. It's going to stretch your skin majorly. I don't recommend this product to anyone. I'm a fan of ironmind but not this product. Features on this product need to be changed. Try it out for yourself and make sure to leave your blunt review on this and not just the good things about it please.

Just a very bad design overall. A good execution (high quality materials, stitching). But a good execution of a bad design. The piece doesn't stay secure, no matter how tight you fasten it. It doesn't account for the ears at all well. The weight flops about. You'd be better off attaching a rope to a motorcycle helmet. Cheaper too.

As I’ve begun to realize the power of direct neck training I inevitably started looking at this harness. I own Ironmind’s Super Squats hip belt and it’s one of the best equipment investments I’ve ever made and I’m well aware of their reputation for quality. This piece of equipment is no different. Like my hip belt it’s comfortable, can handle more weight than I or anyone else could ever use, is built to last forever, and provides a killer workout. Training my neck in all 4 directions progressively with free weight and without the limitations of holding a heavy plate against the head is what this harness allows, and without the need of an expensive machine. There is also a very helpful instructional video on YouTube on how to use it properly. I hesitated to spend so much on a neck harness but it was well worth it, and as other reviewers have pointed out it will surely be the last I’ll ever have to invest in. If you take neck training seriously and don’t wanna take a risk on quality (or injury that could result from lack thereof) this is the one

A little awkward having to change the straps from loop to loop, when working different aspects of the neck musculature. Highly strong and well-constructed, but be very careful especially doing heavy flexion with the weight hanging behind you neck!

I don't usually post product reviews but this neck harness deserves a good one so here goes.As a guy that works out his neck, I had a neck harness at home mainly for neck extensions and I'd be routinely working with a load of 50 lbs or so. One day, my old harness broke while I was using it, violently jerking my head to one side. Fortunately (and possibly because my neck was well developed by this time) I was uninjured, but I was rattled. My old harness that broke was made of thick leather and a chain, it looked substantial but it proved to be of a poor design.I found this thing on amazon and it was a completely different design and the materials looked good so I bought it despite the steeper price compared to other neck harnesses.Guys, this thing is worth the money. It doesn't have any moving parts that swivel and risk failure. It's basically an over built seatbelt with heavy duty stitching that after over 16 months of useage shows no signs of failure. Be careful with your necks and learn from my experience, and buy a neck harness that won't surprise you.

This head Harness is very good and is very comfortable for working the back of the Neck. I am not to happy with using it for the front and sides. I had to modify with two chains and three clips (not to crazy about red strap). It is also I little too expensive for what it offers

I also have the Ironmind dip belt, and both it and the headstrap are well designed, well made, very comfortable even with heavy loads, and will probably never need to be replaced. I use the headstrap weekly for neck extension and lateral flexion movements. For extension (moving the chin away from the chest), I simply connect the red strap to a loading pin via a carabiner. For lateral flexion (moving the side of the head down toward the shoulder), I use a 30" length of chain with carabiners on both ends attached to a loading pin and alternate from one side hole to the other on the anodized aluminum plate. With the headstrap fitted snugly, even over a thin skull cap, I've had no problem with the headstrap sliding, as for example, down over my eyes when doing heavy extensions. I also plan to add neck flexion (moving the chin down toward the chest) to more effectively work the posterior neck muscles, using the low cable pull option on my Powertec Levergym. Just snug her up, and you won't be disappointed in this headstrap no matter how much weight you're hoisting!

I have owned several head straps, nylon, leather, etc. This is by far the only one I can recommend. It is really sturdy, should last forever, is very comfortable unlike all the others, and has some very nice design features. It is designed and made in the US, and it kinda makes you proud to know we can still design and make top quality products with wonderful features, including padding that actually is comfortable, and a blue anodized aluminum plate that keeps the straps away from your face and ears when the weight is tugging on the whole thing. This is unique to this head strap. The whole thing just says high quality materials and manufacturing.I added some snap links and chain to mine so I don't have to fiddle with the one thing I did not like - the nylon strap for hanging the weights from the harness. I attached one each snap link to each of the holes on the sides of the blue anodized aluminum plate that the harness attaches to. Works great.
