BOW TIE
The bow tie is a type of necktie. A modern bow tie is tied using a common shoelace knot, which is also called the bow knot for that reason. It consists of a ribbon of fabric tied around the collar of a shirt in a symmetrical manner so that the two opposite ends form loops.
Bow ties may be made of any fabric material, but most are made from silk, polyester, cotton, or a mixture of fabrics.
Types of Bow Ties
- Pre-tied - the distinctive bow is sewn onto a band that goes around the neck and clips to secure.
- Clip-on - dispense with the band altogether, instead, it clips straight to the collar.
- Freestyle - also known as a "self-tie", or "tie-it-yourself" bow tie. The traditional bow tie, consists of a strip of cloth which the wearer has to tie by hand.

Purchased for my significant other, and he wore it for approx 8 hours. About 4 hours in his neck where the bow portion was touching was visibly red and itchy. By the end of the evening there was a skin rash where the bow touched. Two days later his skin is dry and peeling from this.

Seems like a nice pre-tied bowtie. Quality is fine- the light weight matches other seersucker ties I have. Color is jut as pictured - light blue. Adjusts easily, too.
