I have boxes of old 35mm negatives that I have been trying to scan at home. Some of them have started to curl up and tend to move around in the scanner. This little holder is the perfect way to hold them in position. It’s easy to open and close and can hold a strip of 6 images, though I’ve noticed that most of the ones I’ve scanned so far are shorter than that so I could probably scan 1 ½ negatives at a time but that’s just awkward. One issue I’ve had is some of the negatives seem to have frames that are smaller than the window. So beware that not all 35mm film will actually line up correctly. The newer ones seem to be fine. I think this must be a camera specific problem on an older camera my family must have used. I can still scan the images but I have to realign after each frameAlso note, despite the product photos this is just the negative holder, there is no digitizing adapter in the kit. I knew that when I read the descriptions before I ordered but I think the images are a little unclear.
