John Deere 50-lb Plastic-Shell Rear Wheel Weight BM17976. ***One 50-lb plastic-shell rear wheel weight may be installed on each rear wheel to provide extra traction and stability. The outer shell is molded of tough polyethylene plastic filled with a heavy granular material that contains a high iron percentage. A bonding substance is added to hold the material together so that it will remain intact, even if the shell is damaged. Multiple stacking is not recommended. Overall width of the tractor will be increased by approximately 2 in. (51 mm) when weights are installed. For 23x10.5-12 and 24x12-12 tires in narrow position only. Weights are packaged one per carton, with necessary hardware for installation on a wheel. This is a OEM John Deere Part. Thanks for looking!

The weights came in individual boxes, one of the weights was in new condition and I was very pleased with it, but it was lacking two washers. The other weight looked used, it was dirty and cracked, it too was lacking washers and nuts. It said on the box these came from John Deere, it saddens me to think that John Deere’s reputation is no better then stuff coming from third World countries.

These wheel weights were easy to install on my John Deere 1023e. They provide better traction on my hilly property.

Plastic cover is easily scratched if you are scraping by anything, hey it happens! I do like them otherwise. I may fab a center metal "hub cap" for them to protect them from things like when I was back filling and packing dirt up again a concrete building foundation.

These are exactly what I wanted! How heavy are they, they are so heavy that the UPS driver left them on my sidewalk instead of up on my porch. Lol. But seriously when you go to install them I recommend stacking some boards or something so that they are even with the bottom of your rim then slide them into place.They make a big difference when using the front end loader.
