I jumped at the chance to test and review this paddle. I was not at all disappointed. If you think $280 for a paddle is insane, well so is this Agassi. The "textured carbon fiber surface" gripped the ball generated much enhanced top spin. Coupled with the high-end propulsion core, I was able to deliver power and spin with the same shots.Often, lesser paddles sacrifice one or the other: power or spin. This one does not. At least, not much. And it was quite forgiving for an elongated paddle, except near the top.Over many hours of playing, it still feels like new. Very good balanced weight, too.If you are an advanced amateur, or even a pro, it will be difficult to find something better that does what this Agassi model delivers.⭐️1 star — I don't recommend it at all, poor quality.⭐️⭐️ 2 stars — I don't recommend it: has multiple faults, or a very high price.⭐️⭐️⭐️ 3 stars — It's passable: it has some faults, but the quality is ok for what it is.⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 4 stars — Product quite acceptable, and it does what it promises.⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 5 stars — Product that I totally recommend.

I felt that this paddle increased my accuracy in the mid-range shots to the angled dinking. The power was a little less but the control is much better, I was using the Joola Ben Johns and no paddle surpassed that, but I really like this Agassi paddle. After the first week of playing I now see about 5 of these paddles at the courts.

My hubby and I went out to play with two of Joola’s newest models, the Agassi Pro IV 16mm and the Ben Johns Perseus IV 16mm. Both paddles offer really good solid play, we have a great track record with Joola. In a nutshell I’d say the Agassi feels heavier, my husband had great success with it, found a Beast Mode. It’s a little too heavy-feeling for me - female (both paddles at 8.1 oz, I need the 14mm). The 16 mm Ben Johns was successful for both of us, it felt lighter with more comfort and quicker head speed for female play. For background my husband currently plays with the Ben Johns Perseus 3 16mm (former 5.5 tennis player). I currently play with the Anna Bright Scorpeus 3 14mm (former 4.0 tennis player). We now play pickleball exclusively, singles, 3x/week, outdoors.Agassi Paddle:Female Viewpoint: I got a lot of pop from this paddle during warmups, and a notable increase in power to my one-handed backhand. I felt a longer sweet spot, but it did feel heavy. It might take me a while to work into this one, the 14mm would probably be the perfect fit. I prefer the lighter paddles for comfort and also the quicker head speed. My Anna Bright is shorter and wider.Hubby Viewpoint: He felt comfortable right away with this Agassi, second time out and he was in total Beast Mode. His natural tennis strokes are an easy fit, he found his arsenal of spin, control, power (lots) and finesse, he was really at home with the great touch. This paddle zoomed to his top spot, his current Ben Johns is taking a seat, that says a lot.Ben Johns Paddle:Female Viewpoint: I really like this paddle. It feels just slightly heavier than my Anna Bright and I find a smooth transition trading off between the two. I get a good mix of power and control. To be fair every Ben Johns paddle I’ve sampled (Perseus, Hyperion) has performed well for me, in a good comfort lane. If this paddle wasn’t going to my hubby’s bag it would be in mine, grip size isn’t an issue. **Update, Day #3: It’s in my bag now (ha), it plays really well against the Agassi.Hubby Viewpoint: Another solid Ben Johns paddle. He needs some more court play to really compare it with his current Ben Johns, but found great play and comfort right away. He’s tried a bunch of paddles and tends to always come back to the Ben Johns although this new Agassi did bench a Johns, shocker.Joola has upped their paddle design touches and packaging. These paddles have a great look. The black box delivery is also a huge upgrade in presentation, it includes replacement grip and overgrip - highly recommend the overgrip.
