I was worried about a aftermarket Catalytic Converter with fitment but it was boxed very well and to my surprise it fit perfectly.

No fitment or alignment issues with my 05 TJ Rubi. I was missing two bolts/nuts/springs for the manifold mounts but I reused the original bolts since they’re still in great shape. Had to get creative with my floor jack, putting pressure in just the right spots while torquing the clamps & all the bolts so everything hangs free without contacting the engine block, front drive shaft, and transmission plate.Pick up a 2.5” exhaust clamp from an auto parts store, the one supplied with this kit is weak and stripped with minimal tightening. When everything is installed, go for a little drive so all the preservative coats/oils and moisture evaporate off, it’s going to be smokey and smelly for the first 5-10 mins of running.Might as well do your O2 sensors too while you’re doing this!

Please Read, Even though the kit came with the wrong header flange gasket and bolts and the wimpy exhaust U bolt they could have kept I feel it was still money well spent. I went and bought a U.S. made heavy duty U bolt, 4 grade 8 bolts and lock nuts and used the old flange gaskets by applying Permatex Exhaust Sealant to them and I also did the same for the exhaust pipe joint assembly. When you join the rear cat to the header pipe take a small drill metal cutting wheel and cut a 1 inch slice in the outer pipe of the cat. This will help it fit together tighter when you use that heavy duty U bolt. Cut the outer pipe in the middle and do not go to the end of the outer pipe. This makes for an awesome tight union that will not fail while rock climbing or trail riding. You also could weld it together if you choose to. I think it was worth the money I paid for this new exhaust system. And like always as an Ole' U.S. Marine, I always Improvise, Adapt and Overcome any and everything in life. Enjoy! Semper Fidelis! OOO-RAH!!!!

The pipe routing (especially the lower bend) is about 1" out and is getting hit by the front drive shaft u-joint of our 2006 Rubicon. Not enough to bother trying to return, but will be on the exhaust shops to do list to address. Other than than, it's a fantastic kit and really well made. I would certainly recommend this more affordable option compared to the high cost OE offers.
