Packaging was not damaged, after assembling several, I came to one that was damaged. Disappointing, I would have returned, but I already had most assembled.the product also seems a bit flimsy for book storage.

These so-called 'file holders' cannot hold even 10 pages; they collapse easily. Unfortunately, we didn’t open the package until it was too late to return it. A waste of money.

The only good part of this set is its price. It seems to be one of the cheapest per-holder on Amazon. However, it is cheap because it is made of relatively thin paper (not the usual strong cardboard that typical holders are made from), so it can't hold anything heavy, especially as heavy as magazines. It wobbles and falls. It is OK for some light loads, but still, you have to hold it with both hands to keep the content in. You also can't store it in rows since the paper is to thin to pull one holder from a row. With that, I am not really sure how you can use it. I recommend to pay more and get something more solid.

I bought these as a way for my students to organizer their folders and journals in the cubbies assigned to them. They were easy to put together, fit the cubbies perfectly, and so far they have held up to daily use by 5th graders. The colors are nice and make the cubby area more attractive.
