I'm updating my bathroom hardware. I bought this to go with the Kingston Brass shower trim kit that I'd purchased. Luckily, it fit in my drain and the brushed satin finish is a match to the faucets and shower head. However, the screws that they sent with the drain kit were too short. So, the plumber had to use a chrome screw in the drain's center hole. The color difference is very noticeable. Also, because the previous drain hardware was made by Pfister, the plumber couldn't connect the shower to tub drain mechanism to allow me to close the drain for baths. This doesn't matter to me since I only take showers. But the entire drain kit (including the hardware behind the wall) will have to be replaced if I decide to sell my home. Another fault is that, although this drain cover is domed, it has very large holes that allow more hair and bath debris to go down the drain than my previous drain cover did. Things that I learned about updating your shower hardware: Shower hardware is NOT universal - if your shower valve is Pfister, Kingston Brass faucets will not work with that valve and you will need to put in a Kingston Brass valve; replacing the shower valve might mean that you also have to replace your water shutoff mechanism at additional cost; and the handymen I contacted to install my shower valve refused citing potential water pipe damage and told me to get a plumber. If you or your significant other isn't well-versed in plumbing, the cost of installing a new valve and all the shower trim can be very expensive. Instead of buying this device, I suggest that you buy all your shower trim and the complete drain kit with a new shower to tub drain mechanism from the same manufacturer to avoid costly surprises.

Much better than the one that came with my tub. Matches other Kingston Brass oil rubbed bronze components. Recommend.

The screw was a1/2" short. I couldn't the threaded part they supplied.. actually it stayed in place without a screw.

Product was easy to install and matches Kohler Moderne Brass close enough! The drain screw was a little short for me- could be the way I installed, but got a #10 1-1/2” brass machine screw from Lowe’s and it worked. Customer service for Kingston Brass is lacking but overall happy with this purchase!

Well made. Wrong size. No adapter.
