This is a mixed review. On the positive side, it is a beautiful vintage faucet and handles that are exactly what we wanted for our new vanity. Installation was clear and straightforward, and they continue to polish up nicely after a few months of use.On the negative side, the water flow is reduced considerably with the valves and aerator, but that is expected to a degree. Just be prepared for that if you are moving from a design that has neither (as we did). The main concern was the cold handle breaking free from the valve. They used some sort of glue to hold the porcelain handle to the metal valve body. I was very surprised they were not connected with hardware, such as a nut or lock screw. I used JB Webb two step epoxy to repair it which has held for a week now. I'm just waiting for the hot to fail and so the same. All in all, I give it 3 stars - positive on looks and install, negative on quality.

4 out of 5 starts because the included directions are, like most manuals, written so-so, but if you’ve performed enough DIY sink hardware replacements, you’ll figure it out. 5 stars for quality of product! And 5 stars for packaging and organization of all the pieces. Definitely presents itself on the higher end of sink hardware … without the price! Quality porcelain hot & cold knobs, high polished brass that appears as polished gold. Though the matching sink stopper (not a pop up, but I knew that—ugh, lol) isn’t pictured on Amazon, it is included, and it works great even with needing to tweak/adjust the pieces below, dependent upon the sink, which for ours was cast as marble that presented a few challenges to both hand tighten everything underneath the sink only and to line up the stopper with the rod and clip below the sink. In short, same pain points for any DIY hardware but with good quality pieces. Will buy from Kingston Brass again for all future bathroom upgrades.

We bought this fixture just over a year ago. The first issue was that the little porcelain button that marks the hot and cold kept popping out on the hot side. Aftaid it would get lost, my husband finally glued it in, which is working for now, but would be a problem if we need to access the screw the button is covering. That happened almost immediately after installing. Secondly, the faucet started sputtering crazily, which we recognized as sediment in the screen. We have a whole house water filter, but enough sediment gets through that the screen needs cleaned occasionally. Imagine our surprise when we figured out that the screen mechanism is sealed and you can't unscrew it to clean it out like we could on other fixtures. We will have to purchase a new screen mechanism, if that is even possible. Finally, we noticed a drip coming from the underside of the faucet (this is after just slightly more than a year of use), so my husband attempted to tighten the fittings, and the whole thing broke. We just had to order a nearly $90 part to fix this. I am very unhappy and will not purchase Kingston Brass again. The sink and tub we replaced were installed in the 50's or 60's and the tub fixtures were perfectly fine, and while the sink was starting to show wear, it seems like we would have been better off just using the old stuff. This new stuff looks shiny and pretty, but it is poorly made junk.

I’ve installed many faucets and KB is my goto brand. Always great quality, no leaks, no missing parts, long lasting chrome finish. Oil rubbed brass is pretty good too. My customers tell me the Kingston Brass chrome polish finish lasts longer than Water Works. KB is easy to order replacement parts for too.

I love this faucet. It looks so nice. The shape and the handles are great. I wanted a victorian/vintage feel in my guest bathroom and this really complemented my vibes. My only problem and this is on MY end and has nothing to do with the faucet is my sink is a smaller sink bowl so the fact that i got the taller faucet makes the water splash out with even a little flow. Nothing that will have me return it or anything. Just some food for thought for those who might have a smaller sink bowl.

This product was ordered so I could have the cross handles. (model KB1978PX) It comes with 1 escutcheon set to turn clockwise, and the other to turn counter clockwise. This would be fine if the handles were levers, but they both need to turn clockwise to turn off and counter clockwise to turn on when using cross handles. I assume this assembly is sent this way to save money. You can not disassemble and resolve this problem. The only solution (not explained in instructions or parts list, or on line) is to get the cold water adapter (part # KBRP1601EXAC) from Kingston Brass. I called the "free customer service at 1-877-2-KBRASS" and was told this is manufactured in another country where it doesn't matter...and yes, you will have to buy the cold water adapter to allow both handles to turn in the same direction (clockwise). The adapter is $3.50 from Kingston Brass. You would think that they would send that adapter with the original escutcheon, AND instructions, giving the customer the option of which way the handles turn. Do not buy this product if you want cross handles that turn like every other faucet in the USA.....both clockwise to turn off.
