Works well in our 1.5-inch hole. As others have noted, orient the brush-stroke direction and center it in the hole first. Then fix it in place with blue painter’s tape prior to reaching under the sink and putting the nut on.

My daughter bought the less expensive 4 hole kitchen sink knowing she wanted only a single hole. I found these caps and they worked perfectly. They are sturdy stainless on the cap and sturdy plastic for the screw and nut. The brushed stainless blended exactly with the sink finish.

Utility sink had two holes for hot and cold water connections. New faucet with both connections fits in one and this covers nicely the other one.Could have used soap dispenser as a cover as well but there was not enough space underneath for the soap container next to the sink .

Love the look of this low profile hole cover. Only problem is the nut has shallow flanges for tightening making it difficult to tighten from below. It would be better if they used a standard hex nut that could be tightened with a basin wrench.

This sink hole cover is exactly what I didn’t know I needed until it was too late for easy installation. I needed a new faucet and a new disposal in my ancient stainless steel kitchen sink. I went from an old school Moen faucet with side sprayer to a tall, single hole faucet - with no sprayer support. I didn’t think about it until the plumber informed me while he was working, so I didn’t even order this sink hole cover until after the work was done. The cover arrived timely and is fine quality. I like that the top is actually metal. The plastic bottom is heavy duty, and the nut is sturdy. However, installing it after the disposal was back in place was a nightmare! I started by wiping out the hole and slicing my finger open on the sharp edge. Once I got the bleeding under control, I took some other reviewers’ advice and taped the top of the cover to the sink as I was alone. This worked pretty well. I tried to position it so that the brush marks would line up with the ones in the sink once it was tightened. I got it close enough for my taste. I might have tried harder if I’d had any energy left. I am not tall, I do not have long arms, and I am not skinny. Even with an empty cabinet, it was nearly impossible for me to bend my arm around the disposal and the sink basin to reach the bottom of the sink hole cover, let alone get the nut on and tighten it. I struggled quite a bit for quite a while, but I finally got it done. It looks great, it cleans great, and it seems to be holding tightly after over a month. Lesson #1: Make sure you understand the difference in before and after faucets if you’re switching styles. Lesson #2: make sure you have EVERYTHING you need before the work starts - unless you or someone in your household is small enough to crawl in the cabinet or has long enough arms to get around everything.

My faucet hole is standard size for most households and this fits perfectly! Although I was worried that I would fit I just pulled out my tape measure (or ruler if you have one),and measure away. My faucet hole was in between the size provided and fits perfectly. The one I had initially was a snap version and I keeps on popping out but I love how this one is a srew on type of deal so it stays secure. I do have to mention that you may want another person to hold down the top while you screw ii on at the bottom.

We had an extra hole in our stainless sink... this filled it perfectly, was easy to install (hint, clean and dry the sink around your hole, use some wide blue painters tape to secure the top piece in place, then with a bit of patience, you can thread the ring on from the bottom even if you can't see it, and get it plenty tight, without needing a helper to hold the top down)This replaced a snapin plug that I picked up from a local hardware store... that left visible gaps between each finger where any water that spilled onto the back deck of the sink would dribble through to the cabinet underneath.

Woohoo...I finally don’t have a hole in my sink! :)My husband and I recently bought a new sink, but didn’t realize a cover for the optional soap dispenser/hose was not included. We could not find a cover anywhere local that would fit the dimensions needed. This hole cover is not an “insert only”....it actually screws on from underneath, making a perfect fit for that 1/4” we were short on previous products tried.
