After numerous failed attempts with two of the three spools i gave up and went to Lowes and bought the spool specific to the 24v Kobalt weedwacker. The Lowes spool worked without a problem. The spools purchased from the Amazon vendor would not stay spooled up and would come streaming out everytime i tried using the weekwacker. See attached photo.UPDATE - The problems turned out to be with my weed wacker and NOT the spools.
