After 1.5 years of daily commuting it was time to replace the chain. This works great and feels very smooth. A chain tool is needed to reduce the chain length down to the proper size. Used on a 6ku urban track bike. Overall good value.

This is exactly what the description says. It worked well and was sized correctly for my bike.

NOTE: this chain is for single speed/fixed gear bikes that use 1/8" cogs. If you've got a 7/8/9/10 etc speed with deraileurs this will have the wrong pitch and not fit your chainring/cogs.My 'street' bike is a POS single-speed that had a tired-ass chain that recently had started skipping because it has stretched almost a whole link length. I bought this as a replacement and it has been great. It's definitely solid (as most 1/8" chains are) and good looking in silver finish - the only new, shiny thing on there bike! Shortening was easy with chain tool and installing was easy with the included master link. Good so far!

Overview/First look: Don't have much time in how long the chain last. But it came pretty good, slight oiled like normal new chains should come. Tho the 112 length of the chain wasn't enough for my Yukon Trail bike with a new 46tooth crankset. So had to splice a few more links to the new chain from my older set. After that fitted on pretty good and attached the master quick connect link and runs smooth, Even with a odd curve on my chainline (Chainline has about a inch off from being centered, But getting chainring bolts that'll space the ring in more to recenter the chainline.), along with a bent bottom bracket axle (getting replaced later.). Works great.Had a KMC 5-6-7-8speed chain on my mountain bike and it's holding well. Just make sure if you have a over 112L Chain on your bike. Keep some of your old 1/8th chain links to attach to the new chain. (Or buy two sets of 1/8 chains lol. :P.)

Bought this almost a year ago as a replacement chain for my '58 Raleigh Sports and I have yet to come across any defects. This thing is ridden in hilly Ann Arbor more than 60 miles a week during the school year. I oil it only occasionally and I admit that I'm not too good with routinely cleaning the chain (I think I've maybe done it twice? oops), but I have yet to notice any sort of stretching or excessive wear. For the price and what it is, I think it's a very good chain and I'm about to buy another one for another bike.EDIT: After 15 months and nearly 2000 miles of city riding, it's finally time to replace my first Z410. Most riders replace chains every 2000 miles on average (those who pay attention to chains, that is) taking rider weight, terrain, climate, and everything into consideration. It has been suggested that when the 12 inches worth of chain (24 links) becomes 1/16" longer, then it's time for a new one. My chain has now reached that point and seeing that I have taken VERY POOR care of this chain, I'm impressed that it has had an average life span. I will be more careful from now on but because I beat around town every day through rain/snow/sun/salt, the new chain will again see more than its share of abuse. No worries, as these things are just so beefy. The Z410 has been the go-to chain for all of the single gear/IGH bikes I have built and will continue to be until I find something better.

I don't think I've ever purchased a chain that was not a KMC chain. In my opinion, this is one of the best chains for the price. The colors are great, very vibrant, and if you do proper maintenance on it the color will shine for years.I see some complaints about the color of blue that people received. I purchased a blue one and what I received matches the picture on Amazon. A very standard metallic blue color.Over the years I've purchased many different colors for many different bikes and have not been disappointed at all. These chains are great for any road bike to single speed conversions you do, or any standard fixed/track bike you might have. I usually have to remove 4-5 links to fit my bike and it's a really easy task (assuming you have a chain tool and know how to use it).The chain comes with a master link to connect the two ends together, which is very easy to attach and click in place. Removing the master link can be a bit annoying, but just take a deep breath and pay attention and it will come off pretty quickly. If I can't get my fingernail under it to remove it, I usually use a small flat screw driver. If you plan on reusing it, be careful not to bend or break it.I've used this KMC chain in all weather biking 40+ miles a day before and now doing a normal 50-100 miles a week and have had no issues. As long as you keep your chain properly cleaned and lubed, it will last a long time.

I purchased the brown version because it was the cheapest- my top choice was gold, but it was pricier enough I couldn't justify getting it. I also contemplated silver as a safe choice, but ended up giving in to frugality and sad visions of a poo-colored chain.Thankfully, the brown is pretty close to what is depicted- it looks like a dark chrome. Essentially identical to my silver stock chain that came with my bike. I'm pretty stoked about this- saved a few bucks and got a good-looking chain, my irrational fears of a poo-brown alleviated!Installation was easy- just needed a chain breaker to get my old one off, and then to adjust the length of this one shorter. I also installed the master link it came with (my old one didn't have one) for easier removal in the future.Rides like a charm, hasn't shown signs of snapping under high tension (granted, I'm only 125 lbs, so can't speak for forces higher than what I can generate). I've also only had it for a month, so I can't say too much about longevity at this point.I straight up abused my previous chain- riding salted and slush covered sidewalks all winter, 'til it rusted into oblivion. Hopefully this chain will not meet the same fate, though I can't make any promises. If it does, at least I know where to get my next one.
