There was a big rust/dented spot on the blade before I even took it out of the package, and there were visible scratches on one side as well. Like other reviewers said, the tips of the scissors are not sharp at all. They also do not open and close smoothly. Maybe I just got a bad one, but I'm personally unwilling to give it another try.

Those are better scissors than plastic ones. I was expecting scissors like the one I use in the lab for animal surgery . Price is good , they cut well ,but they are not sharp at the edges as I expected from the picture. I was glad to find them at this price . I got several of them , since I need good scissors in several rooms.

Pretty decent quality instrument, however, the tips are not nearly as small as the pictures makes them seem. If you're looking for some scissors with very fine, sharp tips to do anything very precise, this isn't what you want.
