The helmet directly sits on head, thus hurts you head.

As a precursor, I have worn this bump helmet on duty for approximately 1200 hours. It has been primarily been worn in temperatures between 70 - 120 degrees.Comfort: Initially this helmet was very uncomfortable. The plastic side supports that tie into the rear adjustment system were very stiff and the bend where it attaches to the dome was pressing aggressively on the back of my head. I was prepared to purchase a different one until it went through its first 120 degree day. The plastic softened just enough to mold to my dome piece making it comfortable. The helmet is well padded and you can arrange the pads to fit your noggin. The chin strap is nothing special; I tucked mine inside of the helmet and it sits right between the pads with no issues. The rear adjustment is why i purchased this helmet. It allows you to tighten the helmet to make it more comfortable while giving you the ability to ditch the chin straps. On hot days there is enough space around your head to allow air circulation, so although the helmet gets extremely hot, it isnt all that noticable.Build Quality: This is the initial build quality and not durability. Out of the box it appeared to be well built for the price. I wasnt a huge fan of the accessories. They appeared cheap and overall lessened the appearance of the helmet (personal opinion). Initially I only noticed small things such as the top piece of loop panel was slightly misaligned. Later I noticed that the NVG mounting bracket was off center. It sits about 1/4 of an inch to the left side of the helmet (to the right if you're facing it like pictured). Functionally it makes no difference, however it sort of annoying and makes it look like my helmet is always turned on my head. I attempted to show the offset by aligning the edges of the crop to the edge of the left and right sides, and aligned to the bottom to the bungie's on the sides of the helmet.Durability: As a disclaimer: I highly doubt that this bump helmet was made for prolonged 120 degree exposure, and you will likely never experience the issues I've had. After approximately 100 hours of wear I started noticing the pads were shifting and occasionally one would lose its felt backing causing the pad to fall off. I went through all of the pads and super glued the felt on the back to keep them from falling off. After about 300 hours all of the glue holding on the loop panels on top, and the hook panels on the inside had essentially failed. The inside panels had shifted several inches in spots (pictured). I ended up going through the entire helmet, removing the panels, all of the glue from the factory and super gluing them in place. Since I have done that I have had zero issues with shifting or the panels separating from the helmet. I'm unsure of what type of glue was initially used but it melts and becomes like fresh silicone causing everything to slide. The front mount has been chipping for quite a while and the direct cause is unknown. You can tell that the smooth metal was never primed, and minimal coats were applied causing it to chip easily Now that I have fixed some issues, the helmet seems pretty durable. I have zero chips (on the actual helmet), or cracks anywhere on the plastic.Overall it's not a bad bump helmet for the price point. For the occasional user this may be a great option for you. For the everyday user, or those constantly exposed to high temperatures, I would suggest a reputable bump helmet manufacturer. This helmet can be made to be comfortable and most importantly adequately protects your brain housing group from bumps.

Great bump helmet comes with all that extra accessories just strap it however you want. Not Bulletproof but I don't plan on getting shot in the head but it will work for a spelunking

I got this helmet and was pretty surprised at the structure of it. It seems well put together for the most part. Leather chin strap, rails on the side that work, velcro for IR light and or patches. The NVG mount bracket isnt made for real mounts. Though i got one on there with some muscle. The inner cinch is great to fit your head comfortably. Other then the obvious stated its pretty cool!
