High quality aged linden wood put together by using wood joints such as corner joints, feather joints, and miter joints. You WILL be impressed by the quality of the workmanship. Woodworking like this is a dying art. Please support artists making boxes by hand instead of machines pumping out low quality boxes. This box is beautiful, however I’m somewhat disappointed in it. It’s not as big as I expected it to be and the wood isn’t as thick as I had expected. As a matter of fact, it’s pretty thin for something supposed to be hand-made. If you’re just looking for a jewelry or keepsake box, it’s fine, however, I don’t believe the construction is heirloom quality.

It was damaged when I got it. Not very sturdy. The detail is very pretty but for the price I would expect to have way better craftsmanship. I’d spend my money elsewhere next time and if it wasn’t such a hassle, I’d send it back.

This picture makes the jewelry box look very expensive, in fact I was so disappointed when I received it I did not know what to think. Obviously this jewelry box has been photoshopped the quality of the wood was like balsa wood very light and fragile hinges or just barely tapped in as if it was made by a child on an assembly line in the worst part of China.... it's nothing more than just a trinket box that you find cheap gift shops

This box is well made and looks exactly like the one in the picture. There are no sloppy glue leaks, poorly fit joints, or sloppy staining like you see in many other boxes. The removable shelf is perfect for small and delicate items. I only wish they made this box in a larger size.
