I experienced what others have said. I first had to "Balance" the balancer. Nut on the back was loose causing the spindle to woble. I tightened/added loc-tite. Then proceeded to balance it using "steel stick" epoxy on the back of the unit in areas that counter balance was required.Prior to modification, the unit itself was not balanced, therefore it would never give a true reading with a blade attached. Works great now that I balanced. for 27$ vs $150+ of the "name brand" I was expecting this to be the case.

Aluminum casting was not machined to cleanup therefore came out of balance. Had to balance balancer before balancing mower blades. Other than that nice tool. Nut loose on back of spindle causing spindle to sag and wobble.
