This sharpener kit is a total game changer! I attached one to my regular cordless drill and within minutes had my mower blade sharper than it’s been in years. The steel backing makes it feel much sturdier than others I’ve used, and I appreciate the fact that you get 5 in a pack, it’ll last a long time. It saved me a trip to the shop and now my lawn looks better because the blade cuts clean instead of tearing. Highly recommend for any DIY lawn care enthusiast!

Makes it hard to sharpen because they wobble. They aren't true--the tolerances are too big. I wouldn't get these again. The only ones that work for me are the ones sold in home depot or lowes, but they have a plastic base. Still better than these I think.

They work pretty good in sharpening the mower blades I have. Just make sure you go in the right direction on the drill otherwise it will easily un-screw and fly off.

You are suppose to put this on your drill and then put your dull blade between the stone and the metal backing. Well it doesn't match the angle of the blade and couldn't get the blade in between more than a fraction of an inch. the stone kept skipping out. Also, even if successful, One side is rolling the cutting edge over and the other side is going the correct way. Nice Idea, But doesn't work and I'll stick with my angle grinder and a flapper disc.

As part of my preparation for the Spring season, I remove the blade from our lawnmower and have it sharpened at a local shop. Unfortunately, those folks decided to move to another stage and I haven't had a chance to find a replacement. In the meantime, I came across this product and thought "hey, I do have a powerful drill and two hands... so why not?" I was surprised how well these worked. I initially tried them without removing the blade, but that proved to be difficult. The way they operate is that the blade goes in between the metal base and the grinder. I suggest that you start at a lower speed to get a feel for it before upping the speed of the drill. I ended up using one grinder for each side of the blade... I might do another sharpening around July to keep everything sharp. Good value for the money and definitely cheaper than paying someone else to do it!

I wanted a grinding tool to use in place of my manual file to sharpen not only my mower blade but other lawn tools as well, These rotary sharpeners are very easy to use. Simply put them in your drill (I prefer to use my rechargeable drill for this), place the blade properly and the turn on the drill. Similar sharpeners do not always have a long life compared to metal files but their ease of use is what I wanted. 5 are included making the asking price reasonable. I have not had time to test all 5 of the sharpeners so if issues arise I will update this review. So far I remain pleased.

This is a package of five lawn mower sharpener stones. They fit any rotary drill and they have a steel backing which makes them way more durable! This is an easy way to sharpen your lawn mower blades without having to remove the entire blade, or at least that's what we do. We sharpen it right on the lawn mower. These were great and keep our lawn mower purring all season! These are much stronger than the other plastic backed stones! These are excellent blade sharpener stones!

This is a set of five sharpening stones that attach to a drill. I tried one out on a slightly dull blade from my push mower. It's pretty straightforward to use; just clamp the blade in a vise and run the sharpener along the edge with a drill. It does take some time and you need to be careful to keep the angle consistent. It got the blade sharper than it was, definitely better than leaving it dull. For a quick touch-up, these work, but don't expect a razor edge. Having five in the pack should last a while for basic lawn care.
