The evening routine is the most difficult with my kids (which I know it common with most kids), and I've tried everything from chore charts, pocket charts, and homemade charts but nothing seemed to work. This routine device has been a great tool to keep my kids on task. The preprinted chores are easy to stick on, but they are permanent so you cannot switch them out or rotate them. You do get plenty of blank stickers to add your own tasks/chores, but my younger kids rely on images and pictures rather than words (and I am not an artist). The moon countdown is a very cute idea, but the buttons are located on the back of it so you have to take it out to change it. You have the option for 1, 5, 10, or 15 minute timers for each task, and you have the option to have the moon get darker or lighter depending on works better for you. When the timer is up the device makes a magical chime briefly.Overall I think the price is decent for what you're getting. It's been a great addition to our routine and helps motivates the kids. It's not perfect, but it's definitely fun.

Bedtime used to be a bit of a circus in our house—lots of stalling, negotiations, and last-minute “I’m thirsty” requests. We started using this Learning Resources bedtime visual timer, and it really helped calm the chaos. The moon shape is cute and fun, which got my kid interested right away. They actually like setting the timer themselves now, which gives them some control over the routine. We use the different time settings for things like brushing teeth, reading, or quiet time, and the little night light at the end gives them a cozy signal that it’s time to settle in.What surprised me most is how much more smoothly things go when they know what to expect and how long each part of the routine will take. It’s turned bedtime from a nightly struggle into something a lot more peaceful—and honestly, it helps me stay on track too. If you’ve got a little one who needs structure with a side of fun, this has been a small but mighty win for our evenings.

We have many Learning Resources toys in our home, so I was excited to try out this visual timer, especially since our toddler loves all things spaced related.I like the pictures that are included and the blank stickers to add in your own activities. However, I wish there was a way to easily rearrange them or add in other ones. For example, we don’t do a bath every night yet that is part of the routine on certain nights. I don’t want to constantly pull stickers on and off. It would be awesome if the pieces that have the pictures could snap in and out.The item is a little tricky to use at first, depending on how you set it up. For example, if the moon is “coming up” and the timer is set on 15 minutes rather than 1 minute, it’s not always clear that it is actually on. But it’s cool for the littles to see the moon appear or disappear, depending on your preference.I really thought we would use this as a night light, but the light is not strong enough to really light up our son’s room so he still prefers his regular night light. I don’t think we will incorporate this into our bedtime routine, but I do think there are other little friends who this would be ideal for!

This is a neat bedtime countdown. You choose the stickers you want for their bedtime routine and put them in order above the moon. You can set a countdown timer (up to 15 minutes), and a child can slide the star from each activity to the next as they are doing them. For example, we did tidy room, put on pajamas, go potty, brush teeth, read bedtime story & then lights out. As the timer counts down, the moon phases change. My children enjoyed watching the moon grow full. They were so excited to get this and use it. The only drawback from first using it, was they were so excited, running around, watching the moon, etc that it got them pretty hyped up before bedtime. I think with time, it won't be such an exciting thing, and just a visual reminder of what they need to do and the time they have to do it in.I look at reviews a lot while shopping. I hope this review helps!

At the heart of this is really a configurable, digital timer with settings for: 1. Time (1, 2, 5, 10, 15 minutes), 2. Up/Down (e.g. count down vs up) and 3. Alarm Volume. The entire face is the button like those battery-powered dome lights which makes it easy and attractive for kids to interact with. It's easy to start the timer and the visualizations seemed to help the kids visualize the time left. The stickers can be attached to the stand with a marker to show the current stage in the bedtime routine which is a good reminder for kids. Overall, it seems to help organize bedtime more. The only thing that would have been a nice addition is the ability to change the stages of the routine - our routine changed a bit as we introduced a new member to the family so being able to easily adjust in the future would have been nice.

Great little timer. And in our home, it is for an older child. One who has severe ADHD and other issues that cause some serious grief when it comes to staying on task and accomplishing goals. So we have just tweaked it a tad for an older child and made it more relevant to their age group by turning the stickers toward ANIME/Manga type characters with various chores, but the timer works fantastic. And yes, we do still use night lights, so the fact that it also doubles as a night light is MOST appreciated. We have it set up for two different routines, bed time,a nd morning, and honestly you could personalize this however you need with a little creativity. Love it so much.
