Made SUCH an improvement! Wish I had bought it sooner. It stays firm even after many weeks of use, but it's still soft enough to use nightly. Worth it!

This is a fairly thin (but thick enough), fairly hard pillow that fits in the small of your back while laying down and actually does a fantastic job of alleviating lower back pain. It can actually cause a bit of pain when you first lie on it, but if you get past that and relax, that pain just fades away over time. I've been very impressed with it so far. Not so obtrusive that you can't lie on your side or front either. Hasn't bothered me so far. Highly recommend this.

The lumbar support pillow is white with fine pink edges, and it measures about 22 inches long, 13 inches deep, and over 3 inches at its tallest point. I find it quite firm, and it makes sleeping on my back more comfortable. I also place it often between my knees to relieve stress. I can open the zipper and remove the cover. I didn’t find any tag with care instructions or material composition, but I washed the cover in my washer, and it’s still fine.

Did not "inflate" to meet expectations from listing photo. Still can be used for extra lumbar support but was hoping for more. Fabric is soft. Has removable, zippered cover for easy machine wash.

I am disappointed in this pillow as it is too hard for me to lay comfortably at night with it under my back. I needed relief due to some lumbar discomfort. It is very firm, made well, and might work ok for other conditions. It just doesn’t work for me.

I'm not using this in bed. I'm using this on my sofa. I don't know about others, but regardless of how nice my sofa or recliner is, the mid back support is always lacking. I feel like my neck gets pushed forward and unless I'm fully reclined. My lower back suffers and I get up slumped over and in pain. I wound up taking 1.5 inch mattress topper and cutting it up to stuff a section of it into a pillow case that sits between my back and the sofa back. It's been fairly effective, but this new support pillow really addresses that void. First of all, it's cut in a manner that fits the anatomy of my back more accurately. It's also firmer, considerably more firm. I used it for the first time last night and wondered if it might be a little too much, but when I got up, I realized I wasn't needing to take that momentary pause and assessment of what my muscles were doing before deciding how much stretching and carefully moving. I think it might take a little getting used to, but it's more effective and I think a better or healthier solution. I would imagine it will soften up a little over time as well. When you receive it, it will be compressed. Make sure to unpack and let it sit for the better part of the day. It also fits my pillowcase nicely, so keeping it clean means nothing more than swapping out a fresh case.
