The Apple 85W MagSafe 2 Charger for the 2015 MacBook Pro is reliable and charges quickly without overheating. Its magnetic connector is a great safety feature, easily detaching if pulled to prevent accidents. Though a bit pricey, the build quality and performance make it worth the investment.

Great replacement for my MacBook Pro from 2015 with the MagSafe two connector. Great price and seems to be well. Built and durable. Doesn’t get too hot or overheat when charging from a dead battery either. All in all definitely seems to be a good replacement for the OEM And it also is able to be used with both the wall plug and the extension cord style ends that you can plug into the original plugs.

This is a great replacement for the original charger! Sure the texture of the cord isn't quite the same and the materials feel a little thinner and lighter, but it works perfectly with my (Late 2015) Macbook Pro, which is the most important detail. Less important but my favorite thing about this charger is it has the pop-up hooks to wrap the cord around! It also has the removable plug part to use with the extension cord - my original charger frayed pretty badly but thankfully I kept the extension part because it's heavy duty. I'm really happy with this charger!

works well i love how fast it charges. though, the box that goes in the wall is super top heavy and spills out of the outlet like it is tipping. So either you put it on the bottom one to let the heavy side face the wall or put it on the top one and pray it doesn't fall out.

Just what I needed to power and use an older Mac! The original charging cord had been damaged exposing the silver wire beneath the rubber coated cord and wasn't safe to use. This Mac is a 2012 but has software that I need to efficiently complete certain projects so I've kept it for just that reason. When I saw the frayed cord I wondered if my love affair with this vintage machine would have to end but that's not the case since finding this charger. It is just as listed and shown, and the moment I plugged it to the port it began to charge. Within a few hours the machine was fully energized and ready to use. That's the beautiful thing about any MacBook Pro I've owned since their introduction; they can be used for many years and I appreciate that a charging cord was available. It's nice to know I'm not the only person holding on to their vintage Macs.

Desperately needed to replace my 11 year old charger for my vintage Macbook Pro Retina 15” (mid-2014) model. My old charger was fraying badly near the T-Tip and while it worked, it made me uneasy. I suspect it was even causing my laptop to overheat with all fans on full blast while streaming a video online (and it never did that before except when it needed a dust blow-out). I just tested my laptop with the new charger while watching a show through several seasons. The fans were starting to blow hard on the past few episodes with my old charger, but now the fans aren't blowing at all anymore! No overheating at all. My old charger was technically working, but full-on dying and absolutely becoming problematic.Pleased to have this replacement instead! I can still use my old cable’s AC extension power cord on this new charger too for extra reach. It even has the standard little feet tucked into the main block if you wish to coil up your cable on-the-go.Have had it plugged in for a few hours and I haven’t felt any heat on the main block like my original Apple one emitted. Battery life on my laptop is full and stable. It just works! The only thing that’s missing is the official Apple logo, but I don’t mind that at all.Naturally, I'll replace the laptop when it actually goes over the rainbow hill, but right now I'm perfectly happy to keep it going as long as it can.

Charging plug is fully magnetic and it fits within the port, no gaps and there’s no play anywhere. Like a glove.Build quality is the same as the apple charger, color, size, cord organizer clips, and even removable plug attachment (no extra cord, but I’m using my old extension cord to give me 10-12’ reach)It functions as original charger, I drained the battery until the MacBook turned off, let it cool down for 5 hours (to calibrate battery and put it through the charging test to observe any heating issues)Heating never happened, it just got slightly warm and the charger just kept going for about 2.2-2.5hrs until the green light came on, turned laptop on and sure enough, Battery was fully. Charged at 100%.Over all, it seems durable and of very similar construction and the original Apple MagSafe 2 charger in the picture (cord was frayed and I have tape holding both sides of my old charger.Overall: Yes it will charge your MacBook and won’t damage it, at least no more than the apple charger would. It’s priced low enough for us cheapos. lolIt’s an older notebook and it works and I won’t have to worry about a fire hazard as my old one. Reason I haven’t plugged it in. Now that’s fixed. You’ll be glad you got this charger, I think they might be made in the same factory or with the same design, because it just works.

This product looks good, and has all the necessary connectors. I have a macbook model A1465 and I needed a replacement charger with the magnetic port, so I was excited to find this product. However it did not work for me, I plugged it in and it didn't charge my laptop. I tried different outlets and angles, also the light didn't come on at all. There aren't many ways to troubleshoot a charger and I don't have another device that uses the same set up to test it on. I gave it two stars because it was worth giving it a try.
