Would have been easier to just buy the cat and and a builders pipe kit. 2" head pipes whereas mine had factory cat with 2 1/4 and this cat is smaller so hangers don't work either.

I bought one of these direct from Flowmaster or Magnaflow years ago . It came with all the hardware required. Including the clamp to attach the driver side down tube to the catalytic converter. This time the pipe came without that clamp and the supplier is saying I'm supposed to use my old OEM Hardware. So you're supposed to use a old Rusted clamp. The original Dodge truck OEM unit was a one piece welded Y pipe.I can order the 2-inch down clamp from Accu seal which is where Flowmaster gets it.Another problem with this unit is where the drivers side downtube does get connected the supplier is supposed to machine a relief into the 2" pipe off the cat like the previous one I ordered from Magnaflow or flowmaster. This allows the clamp to work properly. Otherwise the 2" clamp does nothing to compress around the pipe since the down tube slides into the main catalytic converter.Fine I can machine the relief groove. I can even use the old Accuseal clamp provided with my previous purchase.I hope this unit is 409 stainless as advertised.

Fit perfectly, was easy to put in compared to some other vehicles I've worked with. Kit does not come with clamps, so you will need one 2" U-Clamp for the line to the manifold, and one 'enclosing' 2.5" clamp for the exhaust. It also wouldn't hurt to get the exhaust sealant, which you can place along the seals of your clamps. Fit perfectly on my 97 ram1500 5.9 V8. Nice mandrel bent tubing. The cat element housing itself is smaller than the oem one it replaced. Worked great.

Now that I have it installed, I am very happy with it. My oxygen sensor isn't tripping the check engine light anymore, which is what I needed to fix. However, I'd say the instructions are bad, except there weren't any. None. It's pretty self explanatory for how to bolt this up to the exhaust manifold, but some direction on removing the oxygen sensors would have been nice. **TIP** run the vehicle for a while, then jump underneath while it's smoking hot to remove the sensors. Wear long leather heat resistant gloves. Use an oxygen sensor removing socket, or a 7/8 wrench. An impact wrench is helful. Otherwise forget it. If the system is cold, you will NOT get those sensors out. They cost about $70 to replace. I had to replace one. Also, the flange for the driver side pipe was on backwards. I didn't realize that right away, so wasted 20 minutes and got frustrated for no reason.Do not tighten one side before both pipes are loosely attached. You will need the wiggle room to get it fitted together properly. The last thing I didn't have, and I think should have been included in the kit was a clamp for the driver side pipe. It required a trip to the auto parts store to get a 2 1/8 clamp for $3. There should have been something in the kit to secure the joint.
