Worked fine , check eng. light was out immediately after install . Better air flow as well .Direct replacement , after delaying the replacement with cleaning /resets . Most sites recommend when "below threshold " limit PO420 replace it as the O2 sensor are fairly tough , rarely the issue when people "guess " what to change " . Rough idle could be a vacuum leak could be show the same code . Great value for old car cat replacement , recommend to all who hate smog testing days .

Live in CA? yeah i know tell me about it. well, this cat flows fine, the inlet and outlet ports slide over your existing exhaust pipe, making welding it a breeze, and this passes smog on an 02 gmc sierra with the 5.3 vortec in CA. there was no difference in the smell of my exhaust or anything like that. i had a bad cat efficiency code. fixed p0420
