Wow! I have a few other hat clips similar to this. But I am shocked at the strength of these magnets! I know that my hat won't accidentally blow away with this one. I'm loving the design and the value.

I think with some creativity, you could find some other uses for this, but for what it is, it works just fine. You can clip the keyring around the strap of a bag and attach a hat to it to keep it close to you but not take up space in your bag. Because the magnets are so strong, it will work with hats of decent thickness. I had no issues with my caps and straw hats. I do wish the magnet looked a little less cheap, but it's very functional. You just really need to be careful where and how you store this and what you keep around it as anything that can be magnetized will be drawn to this and you'll be constantly pulling off safety pins, paper clips, etc.
