Mounted it on the wall and sharpened my blades and and it seemed to balance the blades as it should

Although quite beefy and well made, I am not sure this is as sensitive and repeatable as I was hoping for. But it is better than the $8 zing cone balancers but not as good (I suspect) as the name brand of this type.1) When sliding the magnets to the blade, the attraction is so strong as to bounce the blade off the centering pin. I then need to push the blade towards the centering pin as I rotate the magnets to get things centered.2) The 'heavy' blade is not always the same. It changes based on the placement of the magnets relative to the blade. I suspect on magnet (or the whole assembly) is not of even weight.3) Magnets are a bit too strong. I am afraid I might bend the shaft when I pry the blade off.

I was worried about the sensitivity of this balancer, but when I finally put it up and used it, it performed very well. No more trying to balance a blade using a string. put the blade in and it lowered one side, then I reversed it just to make sure I was getting an accurate reading and it worked fine.

I have a Kubota ZTR that spins the blades much faster than most mowers. It cuts better and faster, but an out of balance blade vibrates. A lot!I've been using one of those cone shaped balancers, but I always seem to break the bottom part or loose the top part. I mounted this on the wall of my shop and went to work on sharpening blades. It's easy to use, the parts stay in place, and it made a noticeable difference to my mower. When I hit the blade switch and the blades come up to speed and it is smooth! I like that.
