Generally, the Mail Boss Base Plate should be used with the Mail Boss 27" Surface Mount Post; however, in some unusual applications the Base Plate may be used otherwise. Constructed of 10-gauge galvanized steel for strength and stability. Features a durable powder-coated finish.

This is a quality base which I wish was bundled with the 27 inch pole to avoid my mistake of ordering the ground pole. The return was easy. No masonry screws were included in our package, nor did it come with a parts list so it's unclear of the masonry screws should have been included.The installer had some issues as he decided not to use the base a template to avoid scratch the base. In the end, we got it installed, but it took a little longer than planned.

It has survived three atempt to destroy the hole system,mailbox, post, and base. Well worth the expense and time to install.

Fantastic base for my hybrid mailbox replacement. I went with this solid base and a weak wood post so that when it gets mowed down by the next blind driver, it'll be an easy post replacement, with a base that won't give up.
