Does not perfectly fit but made it work. Still better than buying an OEM. Have to cut the spring because it's too long. The connection to the muffler needs to be welded. It just happen for me to have a MIG welder. Some adjustment done...overall good.

I left my car at a friend's place and caught a flight to Asia. When I got back, some bad person has stolen my catalytic converter. Ordered this one from Amazon, and called my friend who has a lift. Took about 2 hours install, and while I was at it, I installed a new set of 02 sensors.I am happy to report that I now get about 2mpg better fuel economy. I had been getting about 36 mpg at a constant speed of 65mph, and now I am averaging 38mpg.It's a good product, and does its job well.

I was a little unsure if this would work on my car. Seemed a bit too big in the box, and was concerned about other reviews mentioning looseness and fit issues. WELP. It's perfect. And seems to be doing the job, I was having power issues that are gone. Was as easy to install as any other cat would be. I guess I gotta recommend!

This catalytic converter fits my Corolla perfect and changes the exhaust note without replacing the stock muffler, it has a deep crisp tone and makes the car more fun to drive.

I have a 2005 Corolla. My check engine light came on. I believe the code was P0420. I didn't want to buy an OEM because it was too much money to put into an old car. I came across this unit on the vine program and decided it couldn't hurt to try. I'm very glad I did. This arrived nicely packaged. The material seems durable, although the welds could have been better. The wled joints aren't a huge deal because this saved me hundreds of dollars if I went OEM. I did have an issue with this fitting at first. The flange was too thick to get the bolts to bite. I thought of a few ways to fix the problem. #1) You can notch out a hole for the bolt head so the bolt seats inside the metal. You would need a big diameter hole, though, to fit a wrench or socket into it. #2) Try to find longer bolts or shorter springs. Ultimately, I decided to go with option #3) cut the springs to make them a little shorter. This ended up working out great and no more check engine light. My car isn't so loud anymore and it is even running a lot better. I am deducting a star because it needed some fabrication to fit. I still recommend this product for anyone on a budget.

I am restoring a Matrix and my convertor was starting to develope a rattle so I thought that I would try this after market part. This bolted up and fit properly and is nice and quiet. I have used other items from this brand and I have been very happy. Nothing to fear here good parts guys.

Upon first inspection of this catalytic converter, it certainly looks as though it’ll do the trick. I’m not sure how well just yet, considering the price difference between these and the ones from other parts houses. Although, it’s precisely this price difference, 1/10th of the cost, that convinced me to try it. I’ve even heard good things about the cheap ones on Amazon, so why not. I do know, if you’re getting this to take care of your “check engine” problem, you’ll need an OBD scanner capable of clearing the trouble code, as it won’t just go away without clearing it. Luckily, I have one that does. The converter is definitely made well, exactly as one would expect for this kind of part. It comes with the bolts and springs for the pressure/spring fitting end, as well as the gasket, and it comes with the bolt-on bracket for the other end. It looks like a straightforward install, I just have to get myself to get out there and install it, it’s just so hot outside right now (July in AR). I expect everything to be good and have no reason to suspect otherwise. If anything is out of sorts or defective in any way, I will be back here to update this very review.

Attempted installing this on my 2003 Toyota Matrix. The description clearly says it will fit - it doesn't.The pipe is the right shape, and the O2 port is in the right place, and everything is shiny, but none of that matters with a poorly designed flange. The new bolts are the same size/length as the originals (the new springs are actually a bit longer), except due to the new flange being substantially thicker, and has a larger gap between the this flange and the one on the exhaust manifold - the bolt threads are now too short to reach the threads on the manifold flange. Different combinations of old/new bolts & springs didn't help. Even with an extra set of hands to hold everything square, it still doesn't help. The bolt threads are at least 1/4" too short, probably more. For the OEM flange there are no issues, you can get both threads started easily by hand.I can unbolt/rebolt the old pipe easily, but the new one is just an exercise in futility. With the new pipe in place, and squared-up, the gap between the flanges is simply too large for the bolt threads to reach. If the car was up on a lift (I'm just using jack stands), I suppose there's a possibility you could "lean into it" and with enough force and Maybe collapse the spring enough for the threads to catch. BUT, then the flange would no longer be flush with the one on the manifold, and you'd have a much larger gap for the second bolt.I attempted to show the flanges side by side to show the difference, but I would have needed another pair of hands to hold everything just right. This was just a waste of time, and now I need to hope the band clamp I installed (where the pipe was cut) doesn't leak in the future.
