Directions are horrendous. I looked at the video and used a lighted , magnifying glass to try and see what is going on in step 7.

Very hard to put together, many pieces. Light weight but holds a 100ft hose , pulling the hose also pulls the holder out to . Not well made

Whatch out, over priced for what it is. Sure it states metal, the part that doesn't need to be metal is metal but everything that is crucial for long lasting usable hose reel is cheap plastic. From my experience by end of summmer most of the plasic will have broken & I'm sure to see leaks before end of summer because plastic wasn't made to rub on itself. Every time you pull the hose or pull it back in the swivel is plastic & rubbing it funny.. when it get colder out will be an issue. Buy with metal Internal hardware

I recently picked up this steel hose reel mainly because of the fantastic price, and for the value, I think it's decent. It seems sturdy enough for what it costs, made of metal (though I expect it might rust eventually). It's lightweight and cranks easily once you get it put together.Assembly was definitely the trickiest part. The instructions are a bit hard to follow – small pictures, not much text – so it requires patience and careful attention, especially when inserting the central piece where the hose connects; you have to make sure it's oriented correctly the first time as it locks in place. You'll need a Phillips screwdriver for the few screws.Be aware of the size capacity; this reel seems best suited for a 50 ft hose or perhaps a bit more if it's an expandable type. It likely won't comfortably hold heavy-duty hoses over 50 ft. It comes with convenient quick disconnects, but you will need a separate leader hose to connect the reel to your spigot.Overall, for the low price, this is an okay hose reel for managing lighter use hoses, provided you're prepared for a slightly challenging assembly and know its size limitations. It gets the job done and is much more affordable than heavy-duty options.

GARDEN HOSE REELTook me about 1/2 hour to assemble, a little more time spent on the hose connectors; To get them aligned it would help to have a brighter light. I used the camera to photograph images 4, 7, 8, 9. Then I was able to enlarge the image to see the details in the instructions .The video provided on Amazon helped.Build quality is possibly excellent ( I have not used it yet ). Ease of assembly 4 1/2 out of 5.Appearance quite nice, not bulky. I will use it with a shorter camping hose ( fresh water ) (30 ft)I have not tested it for leakage / water pressure / functionality , It’s raining today . 😊I purchased a 3’ hose as well; A tip others indicated might be needed.Shipping was quick, deliveries are always well received . ✅

Decent steel hose reel. Directions could be better. You will need a Phillips head screwdriver for the six screws you have to install. The reel itself is fine although it is made of steel and will probably rust eventually (tested with a magnet). It has quick disconnects for the hose. One goes in the side and one goes inside the reel. So you will need to provide a hose from the spigot to the reel. Some notes on the confusing directions:Look at the pictures on Amazon for steps 1-3. The green side pieces have some pegs on them that hoses can be connected to with quick disconnects when not in use. These should point up.Ignore step 6. There is nothing to do here. You put the crank handle through one of the side pieces in the next step. For step 7 READ STEP 8 FIRST. The center piece can be installed for the hose in the wrong direction. Once it is pushed in - it doesn't come back out. So make sure it lines up/ so you can connect the hose. Rotate the reel until it lines up THEN push it through from the inside out.Overall it is an okay reel for the price. Just wish the directions were better.
