It's easy enough to put together. The pole attaches to the bottom of the base. The fabric cover slips over the top. Clamp it to the table and you're done. I have a cat that's a little chubby and this is a good size for him. He sometimes sits in it fo hours so it must be pretty comfortable.

We just opened this. Assembly was annoying but not really hard, although the directions were clear. It seems pretty sturdy when attached to a table, except for the actual cat bed which slides around. The bed has elastic that secure it to the base. It's kind of more like an adjustable shelf that comes with a cat bed. The bed is a little flimsy but seems cozy - sized really like for a single cat. The height is easily adjustable. Finishes and construction are nice.
