Good construction. Accurate. The instructions on how to use alongside a map were spot on. Never know, batteries on a GPS can go out. Or there could be no Satellites to aquire if unlikely events occur. Best to know the older ways of navigation.

Although not a true military compass, it does not cost like a military compass would either. Very well made and should last my son a long time.
