I purchased this as a exact replacement for a years-old Mintcraft extension pole that became damaged (bent aluminum extension section - user error!) after lots of yard/household maintenance use. The new pole works fine and will probably last for years too but it has the same problem my prior Mintcraft pole had: if you even slightly overtighten the chuck locking device, the chuck thread binds up and becomes difficult to loosen.
