My original from the 90s was all metal with a plastic insert that screwed in. This new part has a plastic base so it is significantly lighter than the 90's version but once installed it looks exactly the same. I did have to shorten the black plastic insert that has the groves to mate with the actual valve. I may have also been able to adjust the height of the valve in the sink but I choose just to shorten the plastic insert to match my original. I also greased the rotating contact points with silicon faucet grease else the handle was harder to operate than the old one I was replacing for the same reason.

We have Monticello fixtures throughout our house and one of the faucet cold water handles stripped. Bought this OEM part and it fit perfectly. This was the best price I found on the web, including ebay.

This part came new in box and complete as described. No issues using it as a replacement for old one I had to scratch up and dent to get off because it was stuck. Was able to use my original polished brass hot water handle grip. A little pricey (avg price everywhere I looked) for me but a quality replacement regardless. Worth it.

Product was an exact replacement match. The old one had stripped threads and the handle would screw inside. Handle now works great after getting this replacement installed.
