This is a response to the reviewer (CPA Sam) who indicated that the display port connectors on this dock don't work with Display Port to HDMI adapters.Actually they do, more or less. You need an "active" Display Port to HDMI adapter. These cost a few dollars more than passive adapters, but they are not that expensive. Price may go up when the tariffs kick in, of course. They're easy to find on Amazon, just make sure the description includes the word "active." If you are interesting in learning the difference between active and passive adapters, google "dp++"; be sure to include the two plus signs.I use an adapter from Ivanky and it works reasonably well. There's an extra "handshake" involved in the connection, and sometimes I have to power cycle the monitor, or open and close the lid on my laptop, but this is not too painful. Once the connection is made properly, it works well, full 4K, no unintended disconnects.

No issues a few months into using this every single day with firstly my macbook pro 2021 and then new m4 mac mini. Really happy with the product so far as it has acted like a great doc for me with no issues.

monitor setup:pc tb4 - mokin - hdmi - kvm - external monitor primaryshutdown/restart- after a shutdown and restart the external monitor shows pc desktophibernate/wake up- after hibernate and wake up the external monitor does NOT show the pc desktopyou have to unplug the hdmi cable at the mokin to get the pc desktop to show up on the monitorthis make the device useless for my use case because i always hibernate and wake up because it is very fast and i can resume exactly where i left off.did do some usb speed testing with and without the mokin in the middle and it was clear the mokin does not impede the usb transfer speeds which is very nice.

This is a really nice quality docking station. I almost kept it for use with my systems at home, but finally decided against. My issue was not the docking station itself, but the fact, which is hard to find out when reviewing these, is the display ports (d1 and d2) do not work correctly when using a display port to htmi adapter. Therefore, I couldn't use 2 monitors with my surface pro 11 which was my desire. I didn't know that, and should have purchased the version with USB-C display ports. I believe there is one, I just couldn't find it in time for what I needed it for.

TB4 Docks is really the only ones that will handle that kind of monitor configurations. USB3 will barely handle it without random artifacts on the screen and noticeable refresh rate drop on the external monitors. This dock worked well as advertised.

I tried many others and finally decided to give this one a shot due to the high ratings and specs. While the others should just fail, or work for a while when driving 2 external monitors then overheat and show artifacts and crash, or some would work, then blank and back to working, i plugged this one and it just worked. It works with just USB-C to monitors, Display-Port. It's kind of insane how well it works, and also simultaneously handling external disks, charging, phone charging. I wish it'd be designed to be mounted, or came in a different shape though.

I was initially cautious about buying this dock as it was considerably cheaper than other Thunderbolt 4 docks. Thankfully (so far) it has been a great dock! This gives me a single-cable solution to dock my MacBook Pro (M2 pro) to my Samsung G9 OLED monitor (Display port), mouse, keyboard, and headphones (USB) all while charging the laptop! The only thing I can complain about is the placement of the ports. I'm not a big fan of the necessary cables connecting in front AND back. It makes for a bit of a messy setup. Also important to note the dock requires a sizeable power brick (included) to convert AC to DC power. Thankfully it's easy to hide in my setup.

I purchased this as I have only a hdmi and USB C connection on my laptop and wanted to connect a monitor as my laptop screen is quite small.I tried two different VGA cables because that was the only connection available on the monitor. Unfortunately, neither of the cables worked with the USB C connector and still rendered the monitor and this product useless to me.It does look nice and slick and it's neat too. I'll keep it in my box of cables anyway as it may work for something else later on.

Having to travel and present to clients I have fallen short before assuming I would connect to HDMI and then come unstuck with a VGA screen!Great piece of kit to have in your tech travel-bag when the need arises to connect to a VGA screen:Sturdy / strong:Modern design and colour:Good price point when lots of others much more expensiveThe only thing to watch out for and given the lack of USB on the new Macbook is that this is not a multi-connector and so if you want USB also you will need to take and adapter also for that.

This was the third usb-c to via adaptor that I have tried for the new MacBook Pro 2018 and the only one that I could get to work. It required changing the screen resolution but once this was done it worked fine. Neat bit of kit too. The lack of an extra usb-c port for power is not a problem as the MacBook Pro has four (unlike my earlier MacBook)

At first the adapter seems to work with iMac retina 2017 - it adds another desktop and let configure it as extended or mirror. But that was the end of good news - when I was trying to watch Amazon Prime Video movies the player refused to stream through this device as incompatible with HDCP 2.2 standard returning error code 7279.I wouldn't think it's an iMac issue as streaming to built-in Retina works flawlessly and it is not also the projector's fault as I was able to stream Amazon videos from Windows based PC to the projector without any hassle.Only after connecting the projector to iMac via this adapter Amazon Prime Video player refused to play the content. To be clear: it was possible to watch from other sources (tested on YouTube) or play a movie from file however the quality is rather poor (limited tonal range, poor colour rendering), again - issues that I have never noticed before. It just didn't work for me. I hope that helps.
