The only thing nice about this case is the pattern. It is advertised as magnetic, BUT IT IS NOT. When closed, it does not magnetize to the screen, so there is no sleep/wake feature. When opened, the back doesn’t magnetize to hold it open either.. so if you are reading in bed trying to use the strap only, you can’t. You have to hold the front of your kindle as well otherwise it will flop open. Totally not as advertised. Nor worth it. There are plenty of cases out there that perform as advertised. The pattern isn’t enough to save the performance.

I prefer the clamshell style cover for my Kindle. I use it a lot so I wear out my case about once a year or so.This case has a really nice design, it's a great clam shell, and it will stand out on both dark and light sheets, which is something important to me. I have dark purple sheets and comforter so it's easy to lose my Kindle if it has a dark case so this will stand out.Also when I have to travel for Christmas I use the white sheets so it's good to have something that shows up on both instead of having to have two different cases.I originally had a light green Kindle case which worked great at home, but then I did the Christmas family travel thing and I kept losing track of my Kindle because the light green didn't stand out much against the white sheets, so this became important to me.

I have been using the same cover for my Kindle paper wide ever since my husband first got it for me. Because of that my original case is getting very worn and I'm kind of tired of the green color. When I saw this, I ordered it because I like the vibrant colors and the fact that it should be easier spot laying down somewhere than the straight green that I have now. Because this has multiple vicious colors, it's n to see surface or one that has different colors in it. It doesn't seem to be camouflages easily as some of the plain colors have been in the past. The reason I'm concerned about this is one year I had rented a car and left my kindle in the glove box and behold it disappeared. Track it down, but took several months. This is a nice bright color. It fits very well. It seems like it's really good. The magnet is nice and tight and it doesn't worry much at all. I'm very happy with this Kindle cover and I'm sure that anyone you know who has a kindle paper would be happy with this too
