This saved my bacon on a 2001 Ford Focus. Two dealers wanted me to spend hundreds of dollars on a new A/C compressor even though they knew it was only the clutch coil that had failed and that compressor had just been replace (by them) 13 months earlier ( with the factory part).This was a very easy part to change, removed the belt, unbolted the compressor from the bottom of the car without opening the system, impact wrenched the pulley nut off, carefully tapped the old coil off and the new one on with a soft mallet....a real mechanic should be able to do it 20 minutes with a hoist. I did it casually in the driveway, running to the garage for tools, in about an hour.
