Horrible kit, husband just installed his Christmas present and the air compressor leaks. Do not buy.

I was shocked how much these things go for. I found this one which wasn’t cheap but half of the competitors and it has worked great. The parts are quality and it feels heavy duty. The sound is loud but not leave your ears ringing loud. To me it’s a good pitch, not a low tanker horn , but more of a higher pitched raspy train horn .

I tested the horn prior to installing to make sure it all worked… For the price you can’t beat this horn. If this is your first horn it will be fairly loud. Direction really easy to follow and the kit includes pretty much everything you will need.

System comes complete with instruction’s, hardware , relay , hose, wire .I didn’t use the hose that came with it because it seemed quite small abs upgraded to a bigger diameter and fittings . Getting theFittings out of the tank was a tricky job as fitting must have been glued in and just liked to shatter so beware if you are going to do that , as well used heavier wire as pump was installed in rear of car which is quite large so measure before you buy for a good location to install dry and upright position. As well as trumpets are quite large too and I had to do some modifications to the foam in the front bumper to make it fit (2008 Pontiac torrent )Well worth the work I love it and hope it lasts a very long time . P.s I installed a switch to go back to the original horn at any time Incase it’s needed where a loud horn would be a problem like setting alarm late at night ect.

A very loud horn, probably 3x as loud as the factory OEM horn on my 2020 Tacoma! Installation was simple, but time consuming (finding the right mounting spot, running the electrical and airline properly through the firewall, etc... I like a professional look). Easily a two-day, do-it-yourself project, if you are as particular as I am about a clean and OEM-looking install.Just a thought... I purchased the chrome bugles rather than black, and ended up painting them black anyway. Chrome was very visible through the front grill (where I chose to mount them) and I wanted them mostly unseen.I added rubber stick-on feet to the legs of the compressor, and it greatly reduced the in-cab noise of the compressor pump when it runs (my "perfect place" for the compressor was the storage area behind my rear seats).I needed to rotate the position of the airline-out fitting on top of the compressor, and broke it trying to remove it. MPC tech-support had a new fitting to me, free-of-charge and free shipping, in just three days!As an added touch, I purchased an OEM Reproduction horn button to install in one of the blanks, in my Tacoma switch panel.Great purchase! Satisfied customer here!

Iv had some good fun with this. Much louder than a normal horn, and makes people think twice about cutting me off. I had to fabricate a tool box so I could fit the airtank in the box of my truck and keep it clean and in a safe environment.

Easy set up but I will recommend doing a dry fit off the vehicle to check for function and leaks. None found on this unit but the previous one of another brand was garbage and the dry fit saved me a lot of aggregation. Biggest challenge was finding suitable mounting locations for the trumpets and tank but after some modifications to the spare battery tray in an '18 Silverado, went in rather easy. Outside of that I took other users feedback and purchased a Kleinn pressure switch and solenoid for the trumpets and made sure all the fittings were tight and sealed correctly. I ran compressor off a relay as well as the trumpets off a relay for two separate switches. One for on/off power to the compressor and one to actuate the solenoid for the horn blast. A little extra planning made the end result worth it.The only reason for 4 stars is for tone quality. While extremely loud and perfect function, the tone is more to the upper side of mid range. Doesn't exactly have the low tones I was looking for but down the road may just buy a Kleinn trumpet set and leave everything else or change the bells and eliminate the high notes and have all low tones (kept the last defective unit as seller didn't want it back, again a different brand but the trumpets are just fine).

I bought a Siberian Express setup before this- that was HUGE, large tank, large compressor. Too big even for a heavy duty pickup, returned and got this. The horns are smaller than that other set, but will fit behind the grill (or under on the frame). The tank is only 3L, good for 5 good blasts before the pump kicks back on. It is a good low horn sound, not as loud as that Siberian Express, but considering the trade off for space, acceptable. Tank and compressor are 1 unit, put in bed of truck, needs to be dry. Hose is 1/4", needs to be larger I think. Trying to find fittings (brass of course) for the larger hose. I ran a 10 gauge line, off a 25A fuse (upfitter switch on the F250 was 25A), line does not get hot so that is plenty of wire. Added my own lit switch to the dash to operate.recommended

I love these horns! It took me a while to find a place to put them on my 14 Super-Duty as the engine completely fills under the hood, finally put them inside the front bumper and have had zero problems with the trumpets from day one. I put the compressor in the bed under my tonneau cover and have had zero problems with that since install too. The only issue I had with this entire installation was that the included airline was not long enough to route from where I mounted everything (an additional 10 feet would be nice guys!). I ended up buying some airline which was rated to 120 psi from home depot but I didn't take into account the summer temps under my tonneau cover here in Houston! Needless to say the temp heated the compressed air to well above 120 psi and of course the airline I picked up at home depot blew out. I ended up picking up some truck airbrake line rated to over 200 psi (any O'reilly's has it and it's CHEAP) and installing that and have not had one problem since. I wired the trigger direct to the steering wheel horns and the power through the upfitter switches inside. Worked like a champ! For what you get with these compared to what you pay they are a great deal and like I said they work AWESOME! Get behind some jackwagon texting on their phone at a red light and continuing to text after the light turns green, hit em with the "Train Horn" and watch what happens, well worth the price of admission!!!!!!
