The MuteKit has helped me to manage my online meetings more smoothly and more controlled. I like the two-sided light indicators that keep me aware of the status of my mic and camera and it also lets those around me know when I’m “on the air” or muted. It reminds me of the old live radio shows displaying the large overhead “on the air” light to alert everyone when the radio DJ was live. Similarly, the “On the Air” light has helped me to reduce interruptions when I am in a meeting.Additionally, I really like the one-touch button which changes the status of my audio and video in one easy touch—Easy and convenient!Lastly, instead of displaying the blank avatar or my initials on the screen when I need to take a break from the meeting, the MuteKit enables me to take an instant selfie to display on the screen while I’m away.A must for online meetings, I highly recommend the MuteKit!

This is an awesome mute button and busy light combination. It Mutes my Webcam and Mic and also shows my co-workers that I am in a meeting. One of the best features is that the center light comes on automatically when I enter a meeting, and the center button toggles both my mic and camera. I bought the light last year for my home setup, and wanted to get the light and buttons for my office – highly recommend. The software was easy to install, but did require two re-boots and a quick review of the instructions before the camera mute worked 100%. Again, highly recommend!

Easy to install and use. Effective at turning your microphone and camera on and off with tap of a physical button button rather than having to futz around finding the correct window and button on the screen. My one complaint (my setup. being on a Mac with Microsoft Teams) is that while the On Air Warning system will effectively cut off the audio and/or video when "muted," the microphone and camera mute statuses do not actually synchronize the with the conference software (ie, you will always appear "unmuted" in the app, and as if your camera is on if you want to use the system as intended). This is not a simple remote to turn mute on or off in the conference software, but rather turns the microphone off at the system level; the setup of the system is you leave yourself unmuted in the conference software (and camera on if you want to use it). It's probably not a big deal for most, but something to recognize, especially if you're at an institution that if you're unmuted people will assume you're trying to talk (or forgot to put yourself on mute). Admittedly, this issue is probably on the side of the conference software to recognize the system-level mute and synchronize it, and some softwares probably do, but at least on MS Teams on Mac, no such luck.

I don’t usually write reviews, but this product is legit. It has already saved my a** a number of times an I haven’t even had it set up for a week! My wife and I both work from home, and with two volume challenged teenagers it was almost impossible for a video call (every video call) to go off uninterrupted. Not any more! The On Air Warning mutekit makes it easy for anyone to see when either of us is on a live mic and the keypad makes it easy to switch on and off. My personal favorite is the selfie - if I use it right, I can sneak a drink or answer a quick question irl and no one on the call knows the difference - it’s like I never left! The On Air Warning mutekit is a lifesaver!

As soon as I first heard about this product I thought it was an amazing idea. It's a device that many people, especially office workers, don't know they need. But they actually do need it. When COVID came around a lot of people working from home had to learn how to use things like Zoom and Microsoft Teams. The problem is if you're new to this kind of working from home thing then you don't realize how to use newer technology. Here's where On Air Warning comes in.Basically, it alerts you when your microphone or camera is on. This may not seem like something amazing, but it really is. I'm a Millennial which means I grew up as the Class of 2000. We know about computers and tech but there's a disconnect is some areas such as newer tech (i.E. Zoom). This product allows you to see when your mic or camera is engaged. If you're older or not as adept to technology as you'd like to be, and are using computers on a regular basis then this is a game changer for you. When you use programs like Zoom, Microsoft Teams, and other live or streaming services you can see what is on and what is not on. The bright On Air Warning! sign is well made as is the toggle switch it comes with. It's metal and not plastic. It feels hefty in your hands when you hold it. The buttons on the toggle switch are also backlit and look/feel nice. You can mount it on top of your monitor or on the side and can be used with a laptop, as well. You can customize the color combinations to fit your need. For me, I have to have things match so my mic button is red on both the light and the toggle buttons.Pros:*Well made and sturdy*Works flawlessly with all the programs it says it works with*Excellent tech support (I have spoken personally to the inventor and his tech department when I ran into software issues on my end. They will help you!)*Plug and play capable*Works with PC or Mac*Updates on software are frequent*Easy setup and user friendly interfaceCons:*Honestly very little cons. The only issue I've had is when my computer sends out an update (like Mac OS) and the MuteKit needs to update. But thanks to Mike and his great IT team they update on their end as soon as the new operating system comes out.Overall, a great product that does what it's made for.An added bonus I found for a real life situation...if your system is susceptible to hackers who try to access your camera - the devices light will turn on to alert you. So if you see the light come on and you didn't access your camera or mic, this product will basically tell you when your system has been compromised. It also turns on to allow you to see if your peripherals are working correctly. If you're like me and need to know when your camera and mic are on, then I'd buy this product and use it in good faith.
