I will definitely get metal ones next time. I can tell these will wear out sooner than later; however, they do serve the purpose for now and they were not expensive.

First. Tha batteries were dead. Replaced. Then I found the contacts were bad. Fiddled with that. Months later after much frustration I through them away. Don’t waste your time and money. Really. Look elsewhere.

Some of the reviews mention that these fit loose on 7/8" tube, which was a good thing for me because my bimini top that was advertised as 1" tube was actually larger than 15/16" but not quite 1". I removed the through-screws and they spread open far enough to install over the tube without taking off other fittings to slide them on from the end. The set screws grab into the tubes well when in position and don't allow movement in any direction. These are a win for me!

Good quality and easily snapped on to the existing Bimini frame tubing. The included set screw allows you to firmly lock it into place, without having to overtightened the main screw.
