I just received this item so this is a preliminary review for now. Upon its arrival, it smelled so strongly of chemicals that I can't even be within 5 feet of it. I thought at first it was just because it had come out of the box or there was some sort of protecting or something on it so I cleaned it off with some cleaning wipes to see if that would make the smell go away (I always clean new things because you never know where they've been) and that still hasn't made the smell go away. It's so bad it's making me gag, so I'm trying to air it out near some windows first because I don't want to put it outside in case the elements damage it. If the smell doesn't go away within a week, I'll probably have to lower my rating but for now, this is why I'm leaving 3 stars. For everything else, it's quite a cute little organizer, but it was also quite rough around the edges so it didn't seem as though it were sanded before being painted because my cleaning wipes kept catching on it. And there seems to be a bit of discoloration to the wood on the roof of the book drawer as well as on the "floor" of the little dividers--so the same piece of wood.

Wife absolutely loved this for her work desk. She's an avid reader, and a collector of books. This was perfect.Well made and looks the same as the photo.

Really like it. I have it on my bedroom dresser, and it doesn't take up much space....just enough to hold the few items I've always had lying around there. Now I have a pen, pencil, & small scissors in it. The bottom drawer holds a few small pieces of note paper. Plus..the design is clever and it looks nice just sitting there. My thanks to whoever came up with the idea.

This is so cute! I ordered it to sit on my bookcase and hold my bookmarks. The little pullout drawer is a bonus for all my magnetic page clips. I do feel like if it were to fall, it would easily break though. And, looking at the dimensions in the picture, I for some reason expected this to be slightly bigger than it is- but, I’m still happy with it. It’s the perfect addition to my home library.

This beautifully designed pen/pencil holder holds my favorite pens and pencils. It doesn’t take up much space, but enhances the decor on my bookshelf near my desk. However, the drawer doesn’t slide easily, but will serve the purpose of holding my small paper clamps.

Great looking holder. It's meant for pencils and pens, but I purchased it to hold bookmarks. As a librarian I have collected and been given a lot of bookmarks, this holds them all together. There are 2 slots on the top to hold your stuff, the slot on the right side is a little larger, which helped store the larger bookmarks. Useable and cute drawer on the bottom. Will be buying more for Christmas gifts.

Disappointed with the size of this item for the money. I realise it gives sizes but you have a shock when you actually receive it. Nice lookling though but only worth about half the money.

This is a really cute pen holder. The paint job isn't perfect, but for the price, I'll accept it. I was looking for something that wasn't your typical wire mesh cup for my desk at home, and wanted something very small to put in a corner without getting in the way of my laptop. This was perfect for what I wanted. I have some antique books on a table just a few feet away and some fake book boxes on top of the desk, so it fit well with the rest of the room and was a perfect size. The drawer fits a single row package of AAA batteries I wanted handy for the flameless candles in the room and the remote for the candles fits in the drawer with the batteries. That's about all you can put in there, though. It would be too small for a pad of sticky notes, for example, but would work for something like paper clips or staples for storing office supplies.
