My three kitties LOVE Natures Variety food and Ibwas so glad they came out with three different types of freeze dried treats/supplements.This review is for the Lamb Flavor. Reasons it's a hit and a must have staple in our house (aside from them loving it)- It's freeze dried which retains much more nutrients than a dehydrated meat or cat food- It's a great supplement for one of our growing kittens (seen in picture) that needs more calories and like Natures Varieties Raw Rabbit- Makes a Great nutritional snack or treat- Can be given as a treat or crumbled over dry and wet food for nutrients- Have flavors other than boring chicken that irritates my Ragdolls Tummy- Doubles as a predatorial toy for kittens, my kitten plays with it on the floor (if not crumbled) before eating.- Softer dry food choice for our older cat that has trouble with her teethTo all Amozonites; Try it...we have it on subscribe and save and love it*kitten not included*

I feed my dog and cat a variety of foods. One of them is freeze dried raw. I like to give them different protein sources, but one at a time. Shame on me for not reading the label before buying this. This food is not just Rabbit, it has a lot of pork product in it. Particularly pork organs. When I started feeding raw over 10 years ago I learned that it is important to only feed one protein source at a time. An animal would not be eating different types of meat in one meal in the wild and the point of feeding raw is to mimic nature. My cat and dog actually did not even care much for this. Perhaps it was because it had so much organ meat. Pets need organ meats but generally if they ate a rabbit they would only get a tiny little rabbit heart and liver which would be small compared to the meat.I did like the kibble shape of this and would be good for training treats or just treats if your dog or cat likes them.I like to rehydrate my pets freeze dried raw and this has to be crushed in order to rehydrate.I wanted to like this food, but I will not be buying this one again.edited to add that I paid full price for this order and that I am adding a photo since I got a comment from someone saying theirs had lamb in it. So I guess you never know what you might get????

I like being able to give my cats raw food in a non-frozen and more convenient way. Plus they tend to like the freeze dried raw better than frozen raw. It is expensive though, and I wish there was a more economical way to purchase, like really large bags.

My cats don't like them as treats but I put them in the food and the eat it. It's real food and it's good for them

Not one of my 3 babies liked these. They seemed stale to me both times I bought them. The second purchase made because I somehow lost the first bag. It could be just my cats that are indifferent but when it's all 3 of them...???I tried dehydrating them by putting a few in water. But they were still disinterested. Plus, with them being raw and the whole..."be very careful and wash your hands every time after touching them" responsibility was a little nerve wracking. And I didn't want to leave them out very long in the water to see if they might eventually eat them for worry of bacteria growing.I had also bought them with the idea of using them as special treats. But the necessity of washing your hands after touching a raw food product kind of keeps the spontaneity out of treat giving. You can't exactly carry a few around in your pocket for a reward now can you? That's why I gave then one star. My kitties didn't like them, rehydrated or not and the inability to carry a handful around with me as a reward was a real deterrent. I'd much rather spend this kind of money on freeze dried chicken chunks. My cats love them and I don't worry about spreading e coli or salmonella around when I carry a handful with me. Now crumbs in my pocket from the freeze dried chicken or turkey...that's a different review. But my kitties will attract me for those! Definitely not the same reaction I received for these. Too bad 😟Maybe other families fur babies will love them and the handling of raw food is something you are used to. But for me and my babies, all we could give was a no paws and one hand up. Zero is not an option. Besides, one man's garbage is another man's feast.

I live with several cats who suffer complications from consuming anything containing poultry. Just try to find foods and treats, even medications, that don't contain some form of poultry! It's nearly impossible. This looked an interesting treat so I ordered it.The cats went NUTS over it. I only wish that I could order it by the case, it's that good. Even cats who react violently to tiny amounts of edibles outside their usual fare have eaten this with no side effects.Thank you for a great product.

My cats LOVE these. My little guy actually clawed my thumb trying to get to them while I was still trying to open the bag. No preservatives or junk ingredients. Perfect size to use as treats but too small of a package and too expensive to use as a meal.
