This CPL filter comes well packaged in it's plastic case with foam instillation to protect it. The filter fits good but does not offer a few things that the DJI original lens cover is able to. The Neewer filter's rounded frame edge thickness is about a good millimeter shorter than the DJI lens frame, this causes a rubber lens cap to have less to grab onto making it more likely to fall off during transporting. The other issue is for these cameras to keep their waterproof rating the lens cover must also serve as good seal too, and this CPL lens cover has a thinner seal ring edge than the DJI lens which may affect the camera's waterproof rating (see photo with the two green marks). I've used Neewer filter's in the past and feel confidant that this filter will produce good photo quality, and I still feel this CPL filter is a good deal given it's price. Just don't use this lens if you plan to go underwater.

This NEEWER CPL filter is a fantastic and almost essential accessory for anyone looking to get more professional-looking footage from their DJI Osmo Action 4. It's well-made and performs its primary function very effectively.Performance and Functionality:Excellent Glare Reduction: The filter does exactly what a good CPL should. When filming outdoors, a quick rotation of the filter dramatically cuts down on distracting glare and reflections from surfaces like water, glass, or wet rocks. This single change makes footage look significantly more cinematic. It also does a great job deepening blue skies and making clouds pop with more contrast.Secure Fit: It screws smoothly onto the Action 4's lens housing and feels very secure once in place. I have no concerns about it accidentally coming loose during activity.Minor Technical Note:Slight Color Shift: As expected with most CPL filters, there is a very slight color shift when it's on the camera. In this case, it adds a subtle warming tone. As the original reviewer noted, this is a common characteristic of polarizing filters and not a fault of this specific product. It's easily corrected with a minor white balance adjustment in any basic video editor.

Love Neewer's filters. This is a screw on, not a snap on so I would not use this in wet spaces. This does offer good polarization filtering for my Action 5. In bright sunshine looking south, I was able to get good greens and deafferentation in the trees and grass areas. This has a right sized case which is more than helpful as a tiny camera should not need a huge carry bag. This is also being offered at a good price.

This seems like it is built sturdy and the glass seems tough and not easy to scratch but the ring is where this falls short. The ring is how you can adjust the filter on/off even though it’s more of a dimming to off and then a rising to on. But even though I have good vision, I can barely see the little white tooth indicator. I am not sure why they would make it so small on a camera like an action camera. On others there is at least 3 maybe 5 that lead up to the indicator so you can identify it more easily but this one falls short of that. I would forgive it if the ring wasn’t so easy to move around but it’s very very easy to accidentally move. I would prefer it to be more stiff so there would be less accidental movements.I would suggest others to save yourself from the aggregation. I was rooting for this one since I have the black mist filter and like that one a lot.

This is a nice lens, fit is great and it does the job. Rotates to adjust smoothly and there's no visible abnormalities in image quality. The rotation is easy, but there's enough resistance to keep it where you've set it too. All-in-all good bang for your buck.

Didn't fit either of my two non DJI action cameras, but thats no fault of the product. I had hoped that the lens width on either my Akaso Brave 7 LE or my ODDV would be close enough to use this filter.Alas, no.However, I do like the filter and will keep it in hopes that someday I will upgrade to a camera that can use it. It is very well made, and packaged extremely well, so that banging around in a camera bag won't damage it.Was able to check against my computer monitor screen by rotation to verify function - it performed very well.Can recommend - its good kit, just not what I can use right now.

If you're using your action camera out on the water, this is a must. A perfect fit for my DJI Action 5 Pro. Smooth dial adjustment for the polarizing lens to adjust on the fly. As with most Neewer products, well machined and made with quality materials. An excellent addition to my list of accessories for my Action 5 Pro.
