Precision CNC machined to exact Mil. Std. 1913 specification rail dimensions from a single billet of steel. They match the receiver contour, ensuring straight and true alignment. Scallops on the side will not interfere with loading or extraction. This base includes an integral recoil lug machined into the bottom. This provides a precise fit, prevents movement of the base, and eliminates recoil stress on mounting screws.
- Available with a 20 MOA taper and with a 40 MOA taper;
- It is also available in One-piece & Two-piece configurations, and for Shor and Long Action gun models.
NOTE: Clean all mating surfaces thoroughly before mounting. Use a torque wrench and do not exceed recommended torque values:

This is ridiculous. The base came with an Allen key, but no screws to mount the base with!

Easy to follow instructions. Simple installation. Worth every penny. Proper work requires proper tools: To do the job right you will need an inch-pound torque wrench, Ryan Cleckner's book Long Range Shooting Handbook, Blue Loctite, and exacting patience and care. Mr. Cleckner's book devotes a entire chapter containing specific installation instructions for proper scope mounting and setup. This steel base is too good for a half-hearted installation. Don't buy this base if you are too cheap to buy a decent torque wrench, too lazy to study and learn how to use the tools and technique for a proper installation, and/or in such a hurry you have no time for such things.

Absolutely great product, very sturdy and definitely has the nightforce quality we all look for. Like stated above in a review it did come with screws that were not the right size for my rifle, HOWVER I called nightforce and they ship the correct screws to your door FREE OF CHARGE. So no need to spend $50 at a gunsmith for it to work, spend free fiddy free by calling nightforce and get the correct hardware for your equipment. Top notch customer service. Will buy again when needed

Bot the nightforce base for my new Remington 700 magpul to mount Vortex scope. Swallowed hard on the price but it was worth it. Base mounted up clean and tight with no need to bed it. Vortex rings and scope sighted in for Elk hunt trip to CO. I can't blame any wide groupings on the rig - it's all tight. Just me needing to get better.

These NightForce scope bases are one of the best I've used to date. These bases are milled from solid steel and are heavy duty. The recoil lug on the base gives peace of mind when mounted on magnum rifles like my 300WM. Mine came with machine screws as well that fit my Rem 700 LA receiver.Note: Amazon sent me a 40MOA base instead of the advertised 20MOA. Thankfully that was ok for my setup, but Amazon needs to be more careful since they shipped the wrong item.

I just have to say, this is the most rigid and stout picatinny rail you can buy. I own two, both on Rem 700 models.Never had an issue with thread pitch. My best solution, test fit the screws *before* you strip the holes out. This could have saved the $50 labor from the gunsmith, and you would have been out a small amount of about $3 for screws, even if you had to purchase new ones. Boo hoo! Don't rate the rail bad because of stupidity.Mike
