These are a small thing and probably something that shouldn't even be needed. I have bigger things in life to be concerned about, but the clanking and carrying on from a hitch that bounces around in a receiver can drive a person nuts. These ended the issue quickly. I should have done this years ago with all my rigs. It's great to find something so simple that can bring so much serenity! lolI wholeheartedly recommend this set of pads. It's an excellent value. I added this hitch receiver silencer to our setup, but our equalizer WDH is still pretty noisy, even with the sway bar silencer. That said, I think this would work better for other types of WDH setups. It’s well-made and easy to install, just not a perfect fit for our needs.

I have several hitches, but I had to buy a second kit in order to get it right for the length of my favorite hitch insert. I find that I can only reasonably compress these about 1/8” (3mm), so I recommend stepping up to the 6 piece which has a couple thinner pieces with the thick ones for finer tuning. Good quality, good value.

I was skeptical about these, but I put them on the hitch mounted shelf that holds my generator. The shelf would vibrate the heck out of the RV when the generator was on. Once I put these on, they helped tighten up the bar and surprisingly reduced the vibration and noise tremendously in the RV. Very durable feeling and super simple to install.

I have a very heavy hitch on my truck as its rated for like 12,000lbs. When it rattles going over speed bumps and such, it can be annoying. I got these to slide on the end of the hitch and it solved my purpose.The package came with 6 inserts, 3 thicker and 3 thinner, which allowed me to get a more precise fit and better eliminate the noise. They are easy to install, though the weight of the hitch would make it better as a 2 person job. I love these and wish I had gotten them a long time ago.

That annoying metal-on-metal clanking sound every time I hit a bump? Pretty much gone. They fit snug, though it took some finessing to line up the pin—definitely not a slap-it-on-and-go kind of deal. I did have to press the hitch in with a bit of elbow grease. Would have been nice to have a few thinner ones for better fit. They’re tough, stay in place, and I’d say worth it if you’re sick of the rattle.
