How Do Three-way Catalytic Converters Work?
A three-way catalytic converter has three simultaneous tasks:
- Reduction of nitrogen oxides to nitrogen and oxygen: 2NOx → xO2 + N2
- Oxidation of carbon monoxide to carbon dioxide: 2CO + O2 → 2CO2
- Oxidation of unburnt hydrocarbons (HC) to carbon dioxide and water: CxH2x+2 + [(3x+1)/2]O2 → xCO2 + (x+1)H2O.

Sure they bolt up to the headers but the driver side wasn’t long enough to make the connection. They either need a connector coupler 2-4 inchs long to join the driver and passenger/y pipes together

Bought the Wi-Fi pipe with both cats oxygen sensors fit great. Got everything bolted up. Awesome will not pass emissions and stinks like crazy not worth the money

Unfortunately, I tried to save money and purchased this front pipe with both catalytic converters built in. They look good , they fit good, but they are useless , both converters are insufficient and therefore I’m back to square one, cannot get my truck inspected , don’t waste your money. Even though it says it would work in Ny and California.

I had this cat installed at a dealership. It works well and I actually saved a few dollars since my old cat was conveniently stolen at the dealership the night before the new one was installed.

I fitted the converters first ,were the pipe slip together I recommend mig welding instead of clamping. My tail pipe connection has a bevel end and no gasket , I put a 1/4 inch bevel on the y-pipe out let to match the the tail pipe in let. I would definitely buy it again good quality and it fixed my check engine light

Good quality at a good price and easy to install. The oxygen sensors screwed right it with plenty of clearance. Arrived early and was exactly as advertised, I hope the welds hold up. The only issue I had was there were no bolts to attach the Y pipe to the tail pipe, the original has 2 studs welded on the end of the Y pipe.
