How to Install the Motorcycle Tail Lights?
Step1
Remove the halogen tail light, paste the gasket to the frame
Step2
Insert the three plugs into the correct place
Step3
Tighten the tail lights with the factory screws
Step4
Power-on test each mode: running light, brake light, license plate light, left turn signal, right turn signal

A fellow rider installed one of these on his motorcycle. After following him on a recent group ride, I was impressed by how attention grabbing his taillight was while braking, and signaling, and had to have one! Great Safety accessory addition to my bike!

THIS IS A NICE LOOKING TAIL LIGHT . FUNCTIONAL AND DOES THE JOB. RUNS SIGNALS LEFT AND RIGHT AND BRAKE LIGHT. SEEMS TO BE OF QUALITY MATERIALS AND SHOULD LAST A LONG TIME AND I FOUND IT SO FAR TO BE A GOOD BUY FOR THE MONEY AND WORKS WELL. PLEASE NOTE PLATE LIGHT IS FOR MOUNTED PLATES UNDER THYE TAIL LIGHT . It really is plug and play. I wish the gasket seal fit was a little better, I had to trim mine a little.Overall, I'm very happy with it and would purchase again. Also, Low profile just like a was hoping.Now I'm looking for more Nilight products for my other vehicles.

Nice bright light and love the quick connects. I got this hoping it would fit a HD switchback (Item description was for Dyna) and for the most part did with a little gap in the top. The quick connect fit perfect for the brake light and the connecters were the same for the turn signal but as I found out since it was not for this bike, I couldn't connect them without unplugging the turn signal connector. The light worked great even though our bike was not the right one, again my fault. I'll be checking out the manufacturers site for one that fit correctly. Like the product.

I installed this on an 07 FXDL, and it works amazing. It’s nice and bright. This isn’t the first LED tail light I’ve run on my bike (my previous, cheap, unbranded Chinese one died), and I really like the quality of this one. It seems sturdy. I also like that the circuit board on it is sealed, so even if the seal fails the lights should still work. It comes with all the plugs needed (I had to cut off the OEM plug to connect my previous light). I already have turn signals that I really like, so I just left the turn signal plugs from the new light unplugged.The one thing that’s weird (that is pictured, but I didn’t catch before ordering) is that the plastic over the license plate lights is tinted red. So even with white LEDs, it still throws a red hue on the license plate. I’m not sure of the legality of that, but it’s not a huge deal to me.

The good: This tail light is nice and sleek-looking. It's much slimmer than the bulky original. The brightness of the LEDs is excellent. I didn't connect this to turn signal lights, but the connector for the tail light is a perfect fit. Also included is a new weather seal.The bad: I could not get it to seat properly in the original metal tail light housing as shown in the attached images. It was off by just a little....too wide to set inside and too narrow to cover both sides. Also, this tail light does not have adequate lighting for a license plate. The plastic housing is red and does not have a clear portion to light up the plate even though the LEDs for it are clear.Based on all the other reviews, the one I received may have slipped through QC. I'll return it and try again.

I bought the Nilight - LED Tail Light/Brake/Turn Signal Light with Red Housing and Plug & Play Compatibility, for a Sportster. It looks great!It was very easy to replace, and I didn’t need to refer to the instructions because while removing the old lamp, it’s clear to see just how the new one goes in. The Plug & Play features and colored wires makes installing very straightforward. The gasket quality is very impressive! I like how this light illuminates, which is different from my original; my old lamp wasn’t LED but, this lamp is LED. This lamp illuminates nice and bright. The light looks great and works great.If I need another new lamp for either of my bikes, I’ll certainly look to this brand for availability, since this brand is a value that suits my budget.

The lead sockets take a 1.5 flat tyco summoto type male pin if you are doing custom wiring. They give you a gasket for the back of the light that is a thick foam type that looks to be weatherproof. Hole spacing for the mounting screws is very close to .490" center to center. The holes look to be 3/32 diameter in the plastic and the back is angled. So if you look at it from the side the bottom where the license plate leds are is wider then the top. The license plate leds are inside the red lens and so cast a red light on to the plate.The turn signals need to be run through a flasher unit. This is meant to replace specific oem tail lights but could be used as a second tail light for safety. I will be mounting this as a second and it will strobe when I stop. This is well made.
