I use this when I take the Wii on vacation... that way I don't have to fish the original out of my entertainment center. Has worked well for years.

I use these as a second connection in a different room so all I have to do is move the Wii unit back and forth between rooms.Works as well as OEM part.

The power supply worked perfectly. It was just what i needed and the light indicator at the end of the cord is a plus.

All I can say for sure is - "it works".I saw the Nyko at BestBuy for over $30.This unit - copy or not - works for half the price. All of the reviews of the power supplies that were obvious imitations of the Wii powerpacks convinced me I needed to either buy directly from Wii, or give the Nyko a try.It works perfectly. The packaging is similar to the one I saw at BestBuy, and it works without causing interference lines on TV.

This unit works, but what you will receive is NOT the Nyko Wii Adapter pictured, which is why I'm giving it one star - they tricked me into buying something they apparently don't actually have to sell. Nor does it have the same ratings as the Nyko unit, which is specifically rated for 120 volts AC @60Hz. (You can get a real Nyko from Best Buy for about $35, but it is truly made with the same tech specs that came with your original US-marketed Wii.) The product you will receive from "Quick Buys" will be a no-name Chinese knock-off rated for 100 volts AC at 50/60 Hz. So the unit works (I'm not sure why - see below), but it is not the genuine Nyko item.As for my curiosity about why this unit works when it's not rated for 120 VAC input, it does not distort the screen like the similar knock-off marketed here on Amazon by "Bargaincell," which has a more ambiguous rating (100 to 240 VAC, but no frequency mentioned at all - I bought one of those and had to send it back), but the "Bargaincell" units will definitely distort the output from your made-for-sale-in_USA Wii, and should be avoided. (Just check the reviews on that item.)So even though this thing from "Quick Buys" works, I will only use it for emergency purposes. I had already bought the Tyco at Best Buy, but the very existence of all these after-market Wii power adapters here on Amazon (just AC-DC transformers really, but the tech specs can really matter) insinuates that this is a weak link in the Wii gaming system, so I wanted a back-up unit in case the Tyco failed.Since the two knock-off's I've bought through Amazon vendors seem to be rated for 25% less input (100 vs 120) volts than they're going to get from a wall socket in any US home (and who knows what damage this might do to a Wii rated for 120 VAC over time?), I recommend spending the extra bucks for the Tyco (the only one I know for sure is rated for common US house current in voltage & frequency). Just don't buy it from the ad with the Tyco pictured here from vendor "Quick Buys", which as I have already lamented, is NOT what you get when you order this item.

I actually like this one more than the power adapter that came with my Wii. This has an indicator light that lets me know if it is plugged in. It also has a Velcro strap for the cord that is very convenient. The Wii has not had any problem with this third-party power adapter; it works completely normal. I would highly recommend this, even over the one that comes with the Wii.
