I have a pair of wool pants that I recently purchased that were too large in the waist. A few years earlier I had bought the same pants in a smaller size and they were too tight. My thinking is it's better larger than smaller, especially if you don't like things tight around the waist.Anyhow, this is a great little set that includes everything you will need (except scissors) to tighten a pair of pants. The hardest part I had was figuring out where to put the buttons. The attached picture shows the simple way I did this.I really like the way that this came packaged. There are four small sets of cards and each card set has six colors of thread and a needle. There are 4 pieces of elastic, 2 black and 2 white, numerous clear buttons, and the threading tool, which I did not need to use, but it's nice to have.This set is not for someone that already has all of these items in their sewing kit. If you are not a seamstress which I am not, it's nice to have everything you need to take in a pair of pants in one small bag. As a bonus for me, I will take one of the cards of thread, and put in my emergency kit in the car for a just in case item.This item saved me a lot of time and money and I consider it a great value. I highly recommend it!
