I needed to tighten the chain ring on a Shimano M8100 direct mount drive crank (XT FC-M8100 1x Crank Arm set). This combined perfectly with the Park LRT-4 lock ring tool to allow the use of a torque wrench when tightening the lock ring around the crank spindle shaft, enabling me to tighten the lock ring to a precise torque setting according to Shimano spec.

Works with the LRT4 to attach a torque wrench. Not sure why they don't come together, but now I have another tool I may use again in my lifetime...I may not. It will look pristine at my estate sale.

Needed something so I may properly torque my bikes. Good item to have if you maintain your own bike.

It would have been too easy to make the BB tool with a socket wrench insert …. Like every other BB tool.

Back in the Dark Ages, we would grab a wrench, tighten something on a bike until it was “tight enough,” and declare victory. And you can still do that with 40 year old steel components. But with carbon frames and modern alloys, the game has changed and torque specs are important. This Park crow foot is useful because it fits the 36mm flats on some of their bottom bracket and lock ring tools. With this and a decent torque wrench you can be assured of getting something “tight enough” without damaging your — or worse, somebody else’s — bike.

Arrived as promised but as I ordered the wrong chainring remover I haven’t had the chance to use this tool yet. Seems a decent quality.

Heavy-duty construction, easy to integrate with our other accessories, and can be used as a bottle opener if you're doing your work in a trailer out in the woods where nobody can hear you.
