As long as you don't plan on using this whistle as an actual whistle, this will be fine. The gold color is too deep. The color is much lighter in the ad. The whistle doesn't whistle very well. I am very disappointed by this. The chain is very long. The bale is plenty big enough to use with a different chain. The whistle is heavier than I expected. If it whistled, I would have given it 4 stars, removing one for the color.Update: The whistle does make a whistling sound. I have to blow harder than expected for it to work. I don't have much experience with whistles. I updated to 4 stars.

The actual whistle is super solid. It's actually got weight and it's clearly made of decent enough metal. There were a few rhinestones that were lost in transition, which is why they don't get a 5. I got this for my teenager that will be riding the city bus, and it should do just fine.
