My old one was falling apart. I knew it's not working correctly because I couldn't hear the noise my krauly used to make, a skipping suction noise. This made it all better, now it's visibly working much better!

Pentair designed this little cleaner with only one working part. This valve flapper. The main body is harder plastic so this composite rubber wears first, hence its a repairable cleaner. The old one was "trapezoid" shaped from worn sides..see pic.I have threw away 2 of the other China knockoffs that last one summer and are trash, so im getting my good one working..if your krauly doesn't "jitterbug" no matter how much flow you put in in the line, this is the part. Disassembles in a few minutes and pops in. No tools needed.The foot "shoe" that drags the pool also wears grooves and mine hung up on the drain screen routinely. So its replaced, yours may be ok. The round seal that slides with the fingers on the perimeter also was replaced with a knock off, for a barracuda, but its working..Pentair is the best pool equipment for the pool owner, you can repair for a fraction of the cost if a new one.

I need to replace this about every 8-9 months in our kreepy krawly. Works like a charm every time.We start losing suction, I order and replace this part and then we have new life in our vacuum.I wish the part was cheaper. But, you gotta pay what you gotta pay to keep the pool clean.

My Kreppy Krawler was stopping, falling off the sides, getting Jamed by very small debri. Per manual instructions disassembled the unit. After complete inspection and evaluation found the flapper to be out of original specifications. Worn on both sides and upper and lower ends to a degree rendering the unit to be non functional. From this evaluation determined that a new flapper was needed to rectify this mentioned issue. Ordered replacement flapper and reinstalled per manual instructions. Placed completed reassembled unit in pool and operational tested for 6.5 hours. Found to be functioning correctly with previous issues solved. Would recommend this replacement part as the solution to similar issues with the Kreepy Krawler.

My Kreepy Kruiser was becoming balky and frequently refused to "scoot". This is truly an OEM replacement part - it's hard to determine from photo; this replacement part has the markings, soft edges and flap like the original. It takes about 2 minutes to disassemble, pull the worn unit out and snap the new part in place. The pool vacuum now runs like it did when new. Lost a star because, it is way overpriced for 25 cents worth of plastic...
