Acceptable quality, just it doesn't have any feet to provide space between the thermostat and the metal plate. This make a blank space which is not very beautiful (the original plastic one has some feet to provide this space)

No instructions, for use, came with the unit. There were installation instructions but nothing on how to set it and use it. It does work it but I am stuck where my AC installer set it. Alexa has let me change verbally but it’s not the automatic wonderful thing it’s hyped up to be.

Much like some of the other recent reviews here, the finishing on the plates wasn't to the level I was expecting. The edges were very sharp, so much so that you had to be careful when handling. Both the front and back surfaces has a number of scratches and scuff marks. I ended up returning these as it would have detracted away from the quality of the nest product that they would accompany on the wall

Incredibly easy to install, you're getting exactly what is advertised. The only drawback is that it can be a bit wobbly. To fix this I used some thin styrofoam and placed it between the wall and the plate.It would be nice if they put a couple foam strips in the package to help alleviate that issue, but it's something that can be done simply enough by the buyer.

So much bad about this.- It has sharp rough edges that have not been de-burred or smoothed in any way.-It does not align with the original Nest thermostat so we were only able to install it using one screw, leaving it able to shift around on the wall- It gets fingerprints if you just look at it.To summarize-It looks cheap and ill fitting, but will serve it's purpose until the one I want is back in stock. I got what I paid for.

Don't know why thickness is on there.you don't want it to be super thick... It looks great, ignore the ugly wall color, but holes lined perfectly and looks hella better than the stock base plate.
